armourdilo
There is just one thing about going for 99 mining that really gets to me. Competition. I can handle the boredom, That's nothing. But when I can't progress because all the good spots are taken and I don't want to waste time running back and forth because someone comes along and starts evicting me, that's when I get ready to give up. I want to know my options (excluding give up) How can I successfully outmine them most of the time? Is it better to just avoid them for slower spawns? etc. Thanks in advance fellow tipiters : It's what I do

Most of the times, if you click first you'll get the ore, and if you do that many times in a row people get pissed and leave. Otherwise, go for uncommon spawns, like in the wilderness or quest related mines.
Youmu
If you want a good place to mine, with little to no competition, I suggest the Steel Mine. It is located in Level 7 wildy, north of Edgeville. Since it is Level 7 wildy, almost no revenants will bother you. And since the spot is in the wildy, nearly no one will mine there. The only con is the Level-25 skeletons, but they are easily killed, even with a rune pickaxe. I got 63 to 65 mining there. Good luck on your mining! BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention
Expl0de
If you're P2P, go for one of the secluded quest mines, like underneath the Grand Tree. :)

Aeon_
I don't see many people at the neitznot mine. Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
gorgoroth
I heard that keeping the Pick Axe in your Inventory instead of having it Equiped can give you 6% better chance of getting the Ore when mining against someone else. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]

Cptbaker08
Just don't steal rocks is my advice. :D Makes everyone happy. He wants to know what to do to keep people from stealing the rocks he was at. (I sure hope the OP is a guy.) But like it was said, try to go to a nice secluded area to mine. Skeptical
Memorizing the spawn times can be helpful, but is only really worth it if you aren't training for exp (ex, easy to learn spawn time on mith/addy/rune: not so easy on iron/coal.) Mostly, just find a more secluded spot. Wild mines (As said above, steel mine can be good, depending on your combat lvl) and quest-related mines are usually good too.
