May 12, 200917 yr I don't think it should be back. I think the reason they got rid of it, and just had the chat message, is its slightly less subtle. It's bad enough dieing, but I think the "you are dead" screen would be an added, unwelcomed, kick in the crotch! Current Goal
May 13, 200917 yr I never thought very much of it before, and I don't think this goes into necessary, but would be a cool thing to have. What if when you died, your screen slowly faded black (like losing consciousness) and you get that message, then you get a "click here to continue" and the screen flashes white (like you being reborn or something) and you arrive at your respawn point? ~It's Super Effective! They could probably make it so timer does not go down while in you are in this screen. May 17, 200917 yr No support, it's basically giving losers a kick in the crotch which isn't needed. Maybe a red message in replacement to the current crappy one but not a giant black screen -.-. Oh, and think about what happens when you lag whilst in the screen, what would happen?

RuneScape is not a game for babies who can't accept loss. The fading black screen is already used in quest cutscenes. If you lag when you die, it's the loading of the respawn place that lags you. Not the blackening screen.
