me
Jw, could you please direct me to the exact quote that says that? Just in case I get in trouble for doing so, I want to be able to have evidence to use in an appeal. Thanks. 15-16-131-58808674 page 120, Mod Raven: "Because characters in the same game do interact with one another, on some level (that's game coding for you), playing two characters at the same time is against the rules. However, if you wanted to play FunOrb and the same time, then that's a different matter. You're welcome to have one account playing FunOrb and one playing RuneScape...but I wouldn't recommend it, due to the multi-tasking needed." Of course Mod Raven could always be mistaken as it could be interpreted as AFK training. Mechscape World (the original MechScape fansite)
ilovesilvia
Ren, can you help me clarify on something? At duel arena yesterday, there was a pure called Infected Vaj, so I immedietly attempted to report him for an offensive username. Then the game wouldn't let me because it said: For this rule you can only report players who have spoken or traded recently. That is weird because an offending username has nothing to do with a trade or speaking. How do you report players with offensive usernames but haven't spoken or traded? LOL. The Dark Lord
[hide=quote]So we can multi-log and afk train on them lol? :? I guess it would still be classed in honour some how. #-o I wouldn't risk it. It isn't explicitly against the rules, but they still might punish you for it. Mod Raven posted: Essentially AFK training is a step or two away from power-levelling or macroing. Because you're not actually playing the game yourself, but getting something else to do it for you. Admittedly it's an in-built feature you're using, so we certainly wouldn't be as harsh as we would with macroing, but the principle is the same. Whilst you may not feel those rules are necessary, those two methods aren't really honourable are they. After all they give people an unfair advantage. It's always a bad idea to leave your character unattended anyway, you could be attacked or someone could jump onto your computer, for example. It's much better to keep an eye on your character, or log out if you're not going to be there. As for multi-logging, again it's not really fair as accounts owned by the same person should never interact. [/hide] Exactly what is considered "AFK training" nowadays? There are several training methods in which a person takes advantage of a monster's aggressive behavior and lets the monster attack them so they don't have to constantly manually-click the monster. However, the training methods I'm thinking of still involve constant paying attention to the screen and interacting with it, but you are allowed to surf the forums or watch a video at the same time. Or is it like the classic Bandits method where you wear full guthans and put a heavy object on your arrow key pad and leave the computer? Kenshinjapan
If Jagex really wants to end afk training once and for all, then they should remove the click-and-wait aspect of runescape. YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE!

walka92
Not really that much to discuss about.. But what happened to rule 8 ? Rule 8 is extremely hard to report correctly now, unless the person says that they're doing it. I'm glad that spamming has been added to offenses (this will be very nice in large clan chats). spamming has always been reportable. i know, having been muted thrice for it XD I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

strilmus
Oh, so that's why people spend so much time at the bandits with god symbols on to piss them off. Remove all references to alcohol in the game? That would remove roughly a tenth of the game if you think really hard about it.
death666bl00ms
So, am I the only one who gets annoyed when I see people make up facts or statistics? I especially liked seeing the one that said 400,000 people die from alcohol every year and 0 die from weed. I laughed for a good five minutes on that one....then I called my gf, and we both laughed for another five. "The greatest joy a man can know is to conquer his enemies and drive them before him. But it is true, that there are far more alcohol related deaths than marijuana related deaths on a worldwide scale. you can contact your health department if you dont believe me. Of course more die from drinking alcohol than smoking weed because more people use alcohol than weed. Those numbers might be fake but nothing to laugh at. They have a point. At some point a pure will report someone for using prayer with the 'honour' rule. OT: Nicely done by Jagex. I have always been confused as to how to report someone when someone is "selling/buying" an account but now I know.
death666bl00ms
Lol, I'm not saying that more people die from weed then alcohol. I'm saying it was highly amusing that the person wrote ZERO people die from weed.... I know that there is a higher amount of alcohol-related deaths then marijuana-related deaths, I just found it amusing that the person would say that no one dies from weed.
