May 18, 200917 yr What about paying 500lunar mages to cast energy transfer on you all the time and a few pures to let you D2H spec them all the time? That would proboly be like a few million exp per hour no, that would be more like chinning exp. maybe just a lil higher becuase d2h can hit higher, but it would not be a fem million an hour I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come
May 18, 200917 yr A lot of people are forgetting that you can get massive amount of xp in runecrafting by BUYING tons of talismans and crafting them into tiaras... you could manage 40k+ xp/h with blood or death tiaras and the abyss.
May 19, 200917 yr Of course it's buyable. Max xp is 140k xp an hour at skeleton gorillas, for well over 1gp cost per xp. Conventional training spots (armoured zombies, ghostly warriors, slayer, etc.) are far slower, but cost much less. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
May 19, 200917 yr "Buying" a skill simply refers to trading money for time. It's not about whether you're gaining or losing, because unless training that skill is the most profitable thing you could be doing, you're losing potential money anyway. Trading time for money is possible with every skill. For example, by training agility in Dorgesh-Kaan, even if you were dumb and didn't use energy pots, you'd be giving up the potential profit you could be making at the agility arena. You can train woodcutting on teaks if you're willing to give up the profit you would make cutting eucalyptus. Most skills are simply more efficient if you spend money to train them. I don't think very many people would want to get 99 smithing by smelting iron bars the whole way. By training to 99 melees at armoured zombies, you're giving up the money you would have made training to 99 melees on green dragons. You have traded money for time. Hence, melee is buyable.
