Some abilities you don't need scrolls for such as teleporting to hunting locations. Other familiars you do need scrolls for such as run restore with a terrorbird. 2. Well it takes a few seconds to activate the scrolls but you can use a scrolls right after the other. Different familiars use different amounts of the special bar so its not possible to give you an exact figure. The ability is a right-click option (like a terrorbird's 'store' or karamthulu overlord's 'drown'.) while the special requires a scroll. 2. The answer above says it all. My guess is to stop some type of spamming like the unicorn's spec, there is a delay. 3.
