Every day huge hunks of metal hurtle over your head at hundreds of miles per hour. Every day you likely get into a hunk of metal and rush past other hunks of metal at high speeds. You are likely sitting under several thousand pounds of building material, and possibly above a 10-20 foot drop. You live in a world with thousands of weapons that could wipe several miles of the Earth off the face of the map in a matter of seconds, leaving them uninhabitable for decades. You live on a planet approximately 93 million miles from a massive nuclear fusion reactor.

 

I don't see how anything could go wrong.

I'm pointing out the absurdity of how we always have this feeling of safety and "it will never happen to me".
