There's really no educational gain in memorizing the elements. Only lost time for other more important chemistry related stuff.

The only stuff we needed to know relating to the periodic table was Group A elements.

That's pretty much it. But I still have a lot of elements memorized without ever being asked to memorize the table in my years of schooling.

That's pretty much it. But I still have a lot of elements memorized without ever being asked to memorize the table in my years of schooling.

Huh.. I had a list of around 100 to memorize.

I know most of the elements from their symbols. A fair few from weight and numbers, too.
