Fura, in preparation for you getting Dark Souls, I have a few tips.

 

#1: Do not enter the Tomb of Giants until you have the Greatsword of Artorias or some other Holy weapon.

#2: Do not enter the Tomb of Giants unless you're in a very tolerant mood that day.

#3: Do not enter the Tomb of Giants.

 

It just so happens that I'm going to be making my character into a Battle Maiden (paladin type, but more focus on miracles and cloth armor instead of plate for quick rolling).

 

I shall take your Tomb of Giants and stomp it in the face. I shall also defeat any tutorial beast it throws at me. Just as I defeated the one in Demon's Souls. Dark Souls shall tremble before my might as I shatter its tremendous structure and laugh as it crumbles to dust before me!

The Tomb of Giants actually isn't all that hard, it's just that you have 2-foot visibility, there are a bunch of pitfalls, and these big Skeleton Hounds with automatic kill attacks. I learned, though, and I just beat the boss.

 

Good luck with your Battle Maiden, be sure to join the Sunbros covenant ASAP since they have one of the only directly offensive miracles.
