I figure I have the choice to go on a good adventure, or be remembered. Too hard, too dangerous for me to do both. I'm not that skilled or that confident. If I'm remembered, I want it to be as someone that made a huge impact, but who only really gets recognized in textbooks and the like. Franz Lizst is a good example - I bet you've never heard of him, but he was the rockstar of his day, and he basically pioneered half the Romantic movement with his tone poems.

Ok, ignoring the fact that it's ponies and what not, I'm looking for more super upbeat music like this:

 

I've long ago decided that if I go on an adventure, I don't want it to be a "save the world" kinda deal. Maybe I have to protect my village, or save my love, or something like that. Much easier to settle down to a safe life after that than after saving the world. Ulysses was never happy after returning from Troy.

 

My idea of "adventure" is more of going out to the wild, away from society, explore, and acquire what you need by yourself, build your tools, and shit. Bascially, being an outdoorsman but without guns and shit. I'd have loved to live in a fantasy world, but truth is such things don't exist. Even in medieval times, people grinded they daily lives as we do now.

 

I just noticed I say "...- And shit" way too much. Time to stop.

More than we do. Medieval times are so romanticized anymore. The middle ages sucked. Nah, I was making statements based on the assumption that an "adventure" is possible.

It's interesting to think that even the poor in 1st world countries have luxuries that the richest of kings didn't have even 100 years ago.

You know, it's never the people who are most prepared who get to live to see the apocalypse. The best story comes from those who aren't prepared, and who make it anyway. So my plan is to not prepare, and thus I will be able to survive.

I would help turn an aircraft carrier into a floating colony. Those things already hold like 5000 people, so if you got rid of all the aircraft and things associated with them, you'd have a big floating city, already equipped with a hospital and mess halls and whatnot. Also as I understand it, the nuclear cores have to be replaced only every 4 years.
