Ring of wealth

Featured Replies

Would it help me get some better drops off moss giants, as I know it increases chance of rare drop, but I don't know if it means rare generally according to each monster.

Ring if wealth just helps get more uncommon/rare items. Just like at Armadyl Boss the "rare wheel" includes hilt, armor pieces, and godsword shards. This works for other monster such as getting a better chance of a rune med from lesser demons.

So any uncommon or rare items for each specific monster would increase slightly. But for training I would suggest other rings, seeing as moss giants don't have an really nice big drops (its better then nothing though).

Common misconception.

ROW increases the chance to get a higher valued rare drop, not the rare drop itself.

So once you gain access to the rare wheel, the chance of a higher valued drop is increased.

Unless I misread the god letter, then this is correct.

That's how I took it as well, it seemed clear.

I love to meet people; send me a pm if you see me on RuneScape! :)

In my opinion, that is pretty irrelevant due to the number of items in the rare spot. For example, at Bandos, there are Rune plates, pickaxes, etc that are dropped commonly, but they are under the same slot as Bandos hilts/tassies. And due to the massive amounts of Runite plates and pickaxes and the like from Bandos, you can assume that the "rare" wheel is rolled very often. However, even though those Rune items are under the rare slot, most people wouldn't even consider them rare anyways so you do gain more "rare" items.

And if you want to be extremely technical and disagree, then think about this. The rare "wheel" has slots that don't give any items if I remember correctly. That means that you have a higher chance of receiving nothing, thus more chance of receiving a "rare" item.

Basically, you're both right. Although you're right that it increases the chance of a better quality rare item, it doesn't mean it doesn't help you get more rares as well.
