September 3, 200520 yr sometimes when i'm playing the characters walk and few steps then stop then a few more then stop .. its really weird .. its quite annoying because it looks like theres a glitch but i know its not because sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. anyone know what this is?
September 4, 200520 yr It's more than likely lag due to server load. Try playing on a less crowded server. If the problem persists, it may be that your PC is having trouble running the game fast enough. Java is resource intensive. Try playing on low-detail if you aren't already.
September 4, 200520 yr i have the same problem, its not lag or anything, its just that the game is sped up.. animaiton wise, were as he walks really fast, and does everything really fast... some problems with it keepin its fps down.. i have to actually lag my computer by opening a bunch of new browsers to slow the game down.. its wierd... ive learned to live with it recently anways, i can move my camera around faster when its glitched like that so easy to see whos behind me.. bug abuse? maybe.. but what can i do.. im not goin to open a bajillion browsers everytime and its really not to fun to look at my guy jumping/twitching around
September 5, 200520 yr Yeah as always said, the only way I've found out to solve the problem is to open up a new browser and for some reason it slows down the game play to normal. Sounds rediculous I know, but homestarrunner.com seems to solve my problem so I just keep that page up while playing, or if I listen to music it stops. Wish I had a better solution, but I dont. Hopefully someone posts something better lol.
September 13, 200520 yr I've had the problem too, and whats really freaky is if you look at your system clock when its doing it. I was off one time by as much as 5 mins after playing. Rumor had it, there was something with Java that was making it act stupid.
September 13, 200520 yr Have you tried the Sticky: Problems using java for playing runescape ? Look here...? If so what exactly did you try and what were the results? If you do not know what version of Java you have you can check here. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. September 13, 200520 yr I had same problem. It was SUN java conflicting with my MB drivers. So I just switched to MS Java and it works fine. ...
