June 23, 200917 yr i knew how to crop my screenshots on my dell but i cant figure out what to go to so i can crop them on my mac. please help me out and tell me what program to use. Sorry but I have to stress a pet peeve here. The fact that it's a dell is not important, dell is only a hardware manufacturer, you should have said you know how to crop screenshots on windows, which is the operating system(comparable to osx, which is the operating system that macs use). Also since it seems, from the other posts that osx does not have a bitmap editor, I'd recommend getting gimp(a much better version of "paint") for any other similar issues that wont be worked out by the default image viewer

The OP may or may not have information on the OS, if he cares at all. You don't need GIMP to take a simple screenshot because OS X has these functions built right in.
