July 21, 200916 yr In my opinion, only Jagex can decide whether ideas (as cool as they are) like these would fit into the game without massive repercussions such as drastic price fluctuations, the compromising of aspects of the game (e.g PKing, training, etc.). Only Jagex has the statistical knowledge of the game to know if this would work. For now, these are just cool ideas. On a less serious note, I like them ^_^. But in my opinion a piece of equipment always is better than for example, your whale idea. Just my two cents. @ The Magic idea: How about you can switch magic books on a 30 minute cooldown. JaGeX may be able to "guess" better than us, but they certainly cannot KNOW how things would work. Otherwise, how could you explain their bad choices of item releases (Dragon plate is a great example).
July 23, 200916 yr I don't like how theres abyssal in every new item (pickaxe, longsword, hatchet etc) maybe you could add some variety.. And I LOVE your farming idea Yeah, Abyssal pickaxe/hatchet/net/etc. is a bit repetitive, try and create your own different items. Maybe at 99 woodcutting, instead of a new hatchet, you can chop down a new kind of tree? Or maybe you chop down magic trees 5% faster than at level 98? Just an idea. you have to be caeful not to completely change the cost of certain items. And the farming idea I totally agree with been an avid farmer myself, having access to something like that once I hit 99...Who needs the stupid cape :P
July 23, 200916 yr Okay, I think you're on the right tracks, but some balancing is still neccessery. The abyssal longsword for attack should require an abyssal whip, 300k and a dragon longsword to create, this will stop the market crashing for abyssal whips. The ranged one should always use the special attack of that crossbow bolt, and it cannot be used with dragonstone bolts. 99 prayer seems very strange, and I don't like it at all. I think you should gain a new helmet slot item, like a halo or something that gives +9 prayer and +4 on all attack stats. You didn't finish the magic idea. For hp, I think bandages should be a little better, at 18 HP per Herblore one seems a bit wierd. I say that all potions should give an extra boost when you use them, not too much though, only like 1 extra point to stats. Theiving, I just can't see it. I don't think the Mandrith thing would work at all. For crafting, I think a new clockwork construction would be nice. Or even multiple new clockwork constructions. Firemaking seems utterly pointless. I think that it needs a major use, since at the moment its a pointless skill. The ones I haven't mentioned are fine.
