June 28, 200917 yr Hey, So i have 61 farming and can play alot at the moment, so i think i should start doing my daily farming runs again... the only thing is that its been so long since ive farmed i cant remember what to plant. I am 61 farming and am willing to pay abit for decent xp, but nothing to rediculous, also for the next couple weeks i can play almost 24hours a day if i wish, not that i will, so i suppose i could be planting herbs every couple of hours, if so, which ones? anyway any help/ideas/tips/whatever would be greatly appreciated :D thanks, n00b
June 28, 200917 yr if you want to plant herbs, ranarrs are the way to go. you can also do snaps for more exp, but i cant remember what level they are. both make profit. if you wana do trees, maples are good, as is yews if you wish to spend a bit more. i personally only do trees and occasionally herbs. mainly trees because im lazy and can pay for them to not die also, some of the fruit trees are pretty much DIRT CHEAP. and im talking less 500 gp per seed; but thse are somewhat low level trees. good to gain that extra little bit of exp for nothing banana is 39 gp per seed, orange is 276 per. pretty cheap willow seeds are 3k each, another good source of exp for normal trees, maple are 31k each. quite a bit more, but still not too expensive for most people. yews are 80k each. you can easily make the money spent on them back, but they have a lower exp/gp ranarr are 35k each and snaps 48k. most of the other seeds are pretty cheap but dont make as much money I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

June 28, 200917 yr Author just wondering for some calculations, how many tree and fruit tree patches are there?
June 28, 200917 yr 5 norm trees, idk bout fruit I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

June 28, 200917 yr there are 5 tree spots (gnome stronghold, varrock castle, lumbridge, taverly and falador park) there are 5 fruit spots (east catherby, lletya, brimhaven, gnome maze and gnome stronghold) there are 6 herb spots (troll stronghold roof, catherby, north ardougne, falador south, port phasmatys and harmony island) if you want xp (and money is no issue) then just plant whatever gets you the most xp. if you want xp (and money is an issue) then try to balance cost with xp (ie: maples instead of yews/mages) if you want money, plant the good herbs (ranarrs and snapdragons). don't be fooled, fruit is great xp. not as good as trees, but way better than allotments. I suggest that you plant all herb, tree and fruit plots, and I like to harvest bushes for whiteberries (just harvest, not replant. the berries repswn pretty quickly). also, limpwurts are good money. if you're gonna plant herbs a lot, you might as well buy some allotment seeds (I use strawberries) to get as much xp as possible.

Just finished training farming for while guthix sleeps, maybe i can share a bit on cost efficient training if you hate spending lots. Ignore this if you have lots of GPs to spare. For allotment, tomato are the best to go. They just grow faster (and cheaper in ge) than sweetcorn and have better exp if you make them rotten. However, i suggest to use the compost bin for super compost to get you some nice profit. For herbs, snapdragons for myarm's patch and kwuarm for the rest if you are busy to care for the herb (or even toadflex for minimum lost). Hop seeds and kind of hard to get in GE. Go for Wildblood if you manged to get some seeds (plus they the payent for jadevines). Or else just do the good old Jute->barley->Jute rotation. For Wood trees, just do willows and remember to cut their branches (sells for 2k in ge). Their payments are 1 basket of apples, just buy the apples from lumbridge chest. Maple and yew are just rediculously costly (7+gp per exp assume u get 5 logs + 1 roots per tree), cactus spines are pain to collect as well. Papaya are reasonable for fruit trees. Although you do lose money but given that friut tree all grows in 16 hours, its worth it. The payment is 10 pineapples, but u get 40 cheap from the general store guy while doing the catherby patch and an extra 10 while doing brimhaven patch. I dont know much about bush, i happens have some stock of bush seeds, so i didnt buy them from ge. Examine ChenGMT (level: 138)
June 29, 200917 yr I did curry tree seeds because I am cheap when it comes to training. I was gaining around 25k farming xp each day, which isn't all too bad for just checking once a day. However, I stopped farming once I got 70.
June 29, 200917 yr Author alright, thanks for the help guys :D for the moment im just going to plant yews and pineapples cuase im to lazy to do anything else :D
