September 15, 200520 yr Oh my god, there's so many languages here! I never really realized how many there were. Majority of languages are European.. I know English, Troll (all you have to do is point and grunt!) New Zealand Sign Language, American Sign Language, Australian Sign Language, British Sign Language! and international(its just basic...can't really have a conversation in it)
September 15, 200520 yr I was under the impression that the differences between sign language in the UK, USA, NZ and Australia was so minimal it didn't matter :P
September 15, 200520 yr I was under the impression that the differences between sign language in the UK, USA, NZ and Australia was so minimal it didn't matter :P lol, they all have their simlarities, but some normal signs in one country might be interpreted as RUDE in another country, vice versa. Like, the NZ sign for "coca cola" is American for "sex" see what i mean? one thing is the same in all of the signs, the facial expressions. Deaf people just LOVE facial expressions. come along to a deaf club and experience the culture :) When you're in a different country learning to sign, you often use your own sign, without realizing it, and its really confusing.
September 15, 200520 yr Aye, that's always a problem. I can only recognise maybe a dozen signs now. I haven't used it for a long time.
September 16, 200520 yr I can speak 3 languages: English(cuz my mum's an englsih theacher!!), chinese (native roots), and malay( I live here!! I'd say "malaysia boleh" but then i dont really believe it!)
September 16, 200520 yr *wonders how many other people have already said this* English and Bad English.
