Diversity of languages in Tip.It

When I first started going on TI, I ignoranlty assumed that everyone on here lived in predominent English-speaking countries, but lately I have noticed how wrong I was. So what I was wondering is, how many of you out there are bilingual(or even trilingual)? If you are, then what other languages do you speak?

Dutch (native language)

English (fluently)

French - I'll read and understand any, and hear and understand most French. Speaking/writing are a lot harder though.

German - same as French, reading and listening is a lot easier than writing or speaking.

I also know Latin and Ancient Greek, but those aren't spoken anymore and modern Greek is rather different from Ancient Greek - I can't really understand it, though I can read the characters which are still the same.

I know random phrases in Polish and Czech (though more in Polish). I also know quite a few songs in Spanish, Latvian, Russian, Polish, Czech and some other assorted languages. Sorry for you, but unlike some others on this forum I'm not going to post music files of me singing ;).

Dutch - language

English - Decent to good, but not as good as Hanni or Necro. :P

French - Had it at school, my mom teaches French at a school, but I don't understand it, I know a few standard lines that come in handy on holliday, but that's it

German - Had it at school for three years, then didn't have it for three years, and now I'm learning it again. Can't really speak or write, but I can understand German people and most of the time I manage to get an answer with speaking and using my hands and feet (not in the violant way of course)

Dutch - native language

French - Learned it for 10 years, live like 20 km from france. Fluent in it.

English - Apart from the odd unknown word, and the 'to-too'-mistakes and mistakes between 'l' and 'll', I do fine :)

German - Been taught in school, didn't like it much, but I can understand most, and get most said (and written)

Spanish - Just know the basics, but enough to get around as a tourist.

And I'd like to include my dialect, west-flemish in here too. A variant of dutch, but with alot of french influence, very fast spoken, still using falls (contrary to dutch), and incomprehensable for every other dutch speaking person.

Intend to learn basic finnish or swedish once.

By the fault of the British educational system I know only basic French and German. Discraceful. I didnt even START learning German until i was 13 :( Thats rubbish, I belive you should start learning other languages, even if its only very basic letters and numbers, as soon as you start primary.

Can only talk English here. :(

Learnt French and German in secondry school but have forgotten most of it.

Can pick out certain words and maybe a sentence in those languages as well as count in them. Learnt a tiny amount of Gaelic in Primary school.

I'd really like to learn a language when I'm older.
