Pie makes money, even for YOU!

V2.1 On my last version, I explained how to buy pie dishes from for 3 gp each, but you had to switch worlds alot, today, I'm going to explain how to do it without any quest requirements but you must be a member.

1.0 Introduction

[hide=]While I was wondering if cooking Summer pies from 95 Cooking to 99 was good, I did some calculations of the profit I would make if I would bake pies to 99..

Lucky me, I just found out a good money making method for people with no skills and a little money and that works even on free to play servers...

For the faster method you will need some parts of the quest recipe for disaster...[/hide]

1.1 Requirements

[hide=]For the GE Method, you only need a few coins but there's one thing you need to know, you can only buy 100 dishes every four hours so it is not good money if you want to do money on short term. But in long term, it is splendid money for low-leveled players.

In other hand, the Recipe for Disaster method requires some parts of the quest " Recipe for Disaster ". ( Parts still needs to be confirmed )

If you guys still wonder if the RFD Method would be slower in long-term, you're wrong because if you buy the pie dishes at the RFD chest, it will cost you alot less...

( More information below, keep reading )

Finally, for the Yanille Method, it will only require you some money, same as the RFD Method, and it will also require you to go to Yanille...

There are 4 methods to get to Yanille...

1- Teleport to your house ( Which is in Yanille ), and leave your house.

2- Get a ring of duelling and teleport to castle wars, then walk east until you enter Yanille. ( Refer to the world map if needed. )

3- If you have done the Watchtower Quest and have 58 Magic, you can cast the Watchtower teleport to The Watchtower which is 10 meters North from Yanille.

4- This method requires the Quest Tree Gnome Village. From the Grand Exchange, use the Spirit Tree to the Tree Gnome Village. Then get out of the Village and follow Elkoy to get out of the maze, then walk all the way South ( Probably longest Method ), refer to the world map.[/hide]

2.0 Start up

[hide=Using the GE]You will need a few thousand gold pieces, depending on how the Great Exchange database changes..

346p455.jpg

Then buy 14 Pie dishes and Pastry doughs for max price.

( They sell automatically! )

11iza4n.jpg[/hide]

[hide=RFD Method]After done some parts in the Recipe for Disaster Quest ( Need to confirm how many and which ), you can buy Pie dishes for only 3 GP at the Culinaromancer's Chest.

nefiow.jpg

But it only has a Player stock with 50 Pie dishes in each world so I suggest buying 50 and switching worlds... My calculations will be in the profit section if you're wondering if it's slow or not!

2n68402.jpg

Now go to the Grand Exchange and buy Pastry Dough, the same amount as the Pie Dishes.

2uz2mj4.jpg[/hide]

[hide=Yanille Method]First, you need some light equipment so your run energy restores faster...

2ngv0pv.jpg

You will need to head to Yanille's bank and take all your money, or a part of it... ( You can also use a Beast of Burden to speed things up. )

Then you must follow this route...

28a0tq8.jpg

Trade a woman named Frenita...

25p7p5u.jpg

Buy a full inventory of Pie dishes, and head bank them...

Now go to the Grand Exchange and buy Pastry Dough, the same amount as the Pie Dishes.

2uz2mj4.jpg[/hide]

2.1 Process

[hide=]Now bank your ingredients and withdraw them as objects.

67p4r4.jpg

Use the Pie dish on the Pastry dough and Make-All.

10oegzk.jpg

66mf0l.jpg[/hide]

2.2 Ending

[hide=]Now note all your Pie Shells and sell them in the Grand Exchange for the lowest price possible, they will sell immediately also.

24dpxci.jpg[/hide]

2.3 Profit

[hide=Using the GE]So we bought 14 Pie dishes for 1,330 gp.

We also bought 14 Pastry doughs for 2,870 gp.

We sold 14 Pie shells for 6,524 gp.

So that means... 1,330 gp + 2,870 gp = 4,200 gp

6,524 gp - 4,200 gp = 2,324 gp

2cwlfvc.jpg

So you just made 2,324 gp!

In just 22.587 seconds!

2hplnaq.jpg

Which means that will make ...

3,600 seconds = 1 hour

3,600 seconds/22 seconds = Aprox. 164 Repetitions

164 repetitions * 2,324 gp = 381,136 gp

381,136 gp/h ![/hide]

[hide=RFD Method]So let's say we bought 50 Pie dishes and we switched worlds... This took me 1:03 minutes and 561 semi-seconds... ( Or whatever you want to call it ).

10wrxpk.jpg

If I want to make 50...

Let's find how many seconds it would take to Make-All 50 Pie Shells...

22 seconds / 14 Pie Shells = X seconds / 50 Pie Shells

X = (22 seconds * 50 Pie Shells) = 78 seconds

...................14

So it would take 78 seconds or 1:18 minutes.

So to buy and Make-All, it would take..

78 seconds + 63 seconds = 141 seconds

3600 seconds = 1 hour

3600 seconds / 141 seconds = 26 repetitions

Cost to make 50...

50 * 3 gp ( Cost for 1 Pie dish ) = 150 gp

50 * 205 gp ( Cost for 1 Pastry Dough ) = 10,250 gp

150 gp + 10250 gp = 10,400 gp

Now I sold all my Pie dishes at minimum price but you could sell them at Medium as they will sell after a while also...

14ec8lf.jpg

So the profit...

Minimum

21,300 gp - 10,400 gp = 10,900 gp

Medium

22,450 gp - 10,400 gp = 12,050 gp

TO RECAPITULATE EVERYTHING

Total money made in 1 hour selling minimum...

26 repetitions * 10,900 gp = 283,400 gp

283,400 gp/h

Total money made in 1 hour selling medium...

26 repetitions * 12,050 hp = 313,300 gp

313,300 gp/h[/hide]

[hide=Yanille Method]Let's say we ran from to bank to the shop, we bought 27 Pie Dishes and we ran from the shop to the bank, it took me 35 seconds and 434 semi-seconds.. ( Or whatever you want to call it. )

2hwhanc.jpg

If I want to make 27...

Let's find how many seconds it would take to Make-All 27 Pie Shells...

22 seconds / 14 Pie Shells = X seconds / 27 Pie Shells

X = (22 seconds * 27 Pie Shells) = 42 seconds

...................14

So it would take 42 seconds.

So to buy and Make-All, it would take..

35 seconds + 42 seconds = 77 seconds

3600 seconds = 1 hour

3600 seconds / 77 seconds = 47 repetitions

Cost to make 27...

27 * 3 gp ( Cost for 1 Pie dish ) = 81 gp

27 * 205 gp ( Cost for 1 Pastry Dough ) = 5,535 gp

81 gp + 5,535 gp = 5,616 gp

That's the worth of 27 Pie Shells...

azc3cw.jpg

So for the profit...

12,069 gp - 5,616 gp = 6,453 gp

TO RECAPITULATE EVERYTHING

Profit made selling Medium Price...

47 repetitions * 6,453 gp = 303,291 gp

303,291 gp/h[/hide]

You should add that pie dishes have a limit of 100 every four hours, so if you want to do this, you better leave in a ge offer a long time ahead of time ::' . Otherwise, it's pretty god, nice money for the low levels.

I'll do some testes and come back to you guys...

Nice idea.

Can you actually get more profit when you add more stuff to the pies?

I know that cooking pies with the lunar bake spell is amazing xp, so raw pies are in huge demand.

At first, I thought this was a wonderfull ideaso I went to take the pie recipe book and after some calculations, you could make profit only doing Admiral pies, which requires 70 cooking BUT it would make you just a little money, less than 100k per hour, so I wouldn't really want to lose my time doing pictures and writing a guide about something that won't even make me 100k in 1 hour...

Thank you, Thepr1de 44.

Selling at the min is going to ruin this method in the long run and therefore make this guide obsolete. Remove the little piece of advice. Not only will you make more money selling at the med price, but you'll have a steadier source of income as your profits won't be decreasing everytime the GE updates

Trolling by giving good advice since April 2011.

Cool guide, reminds me of how Zarfot makes Raw Summer pies to make money - if you have the level maybe you could do that.
