July 2, 200917 yr Well, in runescape its always one area, one type of weather. It would be nice if it changed occaisionally. Maybe in winter it would snow, and in spring it would go from rain to sunny etc.. It would be nice to go to Varrock on a rainy day, don't cha' think? thoughts?

July 2, 200917 yr I thought I once read that they won't do those things and also not day/night. and you got a few problems. Different time zones, and if it snows here it is summer in australia etc. http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. July 2, 200917 yr it snows in the troll mountains, that's technically weather, proving your original post wrong from the start 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
July 2, 200917 yr I played a private server once that had snow in it all around runescape, and I have to say it was the absolute worst thing ever. It got so annoying after five minutes... No. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off
July 2, 200917 yr I honestly think it wouldn't be to hard to implement. They already have the textures, they just need to add it to other areas. O.O
July 3, 200917 yr Correct me if I'm wrong. During the Halloween 2008 event, wasn't it dark around some areas? Plus as said before Snow does fall in Runescape Look at Christmas or that troll mountain area or the Land of Snow :P Homer: So if we don't all vote the same way we'll be "deadlocked" and be "sequestered" at the Springfield Hotel, where we'll get Free Room, Free TV, Free Food, Free HBO. OOH! Free Willy!Skinner: Homer I think this has something more to do than a disobedient whale.Homer: Okay, how are the rest of you voting.Every member of the Jury: Guilty.Homer: How many "S'" in innocent?*Jury groans*Homer: I'm only doing what I think is right. I believe Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel.
July 3, 200917 yr They would just have to time it. Maybe day and night could go in 1 hour cycles or something. 1 hour of day, 1 hour of night. O.O

July 4, 200917 yr Would take too much time up, time that could be spent on worthwhile updates. I think I've pointed this out to you before, I hope I don't have to again. A good game must look good and have good content. You can't just have one or the other. Was releasing RSHD a waste of time? No. It transformed the entire game into something much better. The idea of Runescape having a weather system (and therefore it needs a time system) is great, but it might be a bit too big for the engine we have right now. It has to be done well to work, not just retro-looking generic snow patterns on the screen (which currently look awful). Obviously it's up to Jagex to decide, but they can take their own time, much like RSHD. ~ W ~
July 5, 200917 yr But consider that the southern hemisphere would have completely different weather from the northern hemisphere. When it's winter in England, it's summer in Australia. ~It's Super Effective! (The Zaaps Blog)~My YouTube Channel, where you get to watch me go around and make a fool out of myself and all comp capersGuides:~Yeah I wrote them once~Suggestions:~Yeah I made those once~
July 5, 200917 yr But consider that the southern hemisphere would have completely different weather from the northern hemisphere. When it's winter in England, it's summer in Australia. I'm not sure what the problem is here. The entire world map is not going to have just one type of weather, it could be raining in the Feldip hills but sunny in Karamja. Every region would have a range of possibilities for weather, but it's not going to snow in the Kharidian desert very often, and it's not going to be a heat wave on Trollweiss mountain unless some mages do something horribly wrong. Which is a possibility, now I think about it. I don't think Runescape has established seasons, as such, just months. The climate varies from one place to another so much that seasons just don't make much sense. ~ W ~

However, a weather system isn't going to improve much, if it improves anything at all. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
July 6, 200917 yr Would take too much time up, time that could be spent on worthwhile updates. Worthwhile in the eyes of who. I think weather would be worthwhile. The idea could also be expanded, blizzards? Cause random minigames much like falling stars? Water might wash out areas, make strange items appear in places. Fog would reduce vision, adding more challenge to things like PKing and boss hunting. Many things could be done, its up to your imagination.
