Waht it does is that when you send the txt, it gets charged onto your bill, so that when you pay your bill you also pay for the membership. Thats how I started, which I regreted because I had to wait a few days. You might try asking your parents if you can use their credit card, and then pay them back. Even with interst, I expect credit is the cheepest, all the other methods have handleing fees, so they can cost more (which you can counter by buying larger ammounts of membership, since handleing fees are on a per transaction basis rather than by how much membership you get). I mean..., if it's available in Canada/US, then i recommend it. Top up your phone and then just pay membership via SMS. Simple, easy, done in a matter of minutes!
