Tablet is far superior to mouse when producing digital art. Still doesn't mean crap if you can't draw, though. People seem to forget that. Just as long as nobody buys a tablet to make signatures... that laughable.

I like using my tablet for some pixels, it speeds everything up quite a bit.

But buying a tablet just for pixel sigs would be a waste of your money.

Do note that a tablet will not increase your pixel art skills, just the speed at which you complete the project (if even that).

The only thing it may help at is sketching the concept (not the actual pixeling itself). And keep in mind, a tablet takes a lot of practice to get used to...

In short - a mouse will do fine for pixels.

Now, digital paintings are a different story...

I can't use a mouse to save my life for drawing stuff on the pc.

On a tablet, however, it's easy as hell. Almost as if i was drawing straight to paper.

Although some cheaper tablets may get a bit of a wobble or something to them :x

I wish i had a tablet, then I would own everyone else at pixel sigs, but for now i have to click.

u can only really use tablets for sketching and adding textures, using a mouse is more accurate and much easier to use.. I wouldn't say tablets = better pixeling cus it doesn't make you a better drawer suddenly, its like giving someone who can't use a weapon to save his life a bigger gun..

i've used a tablet many times before and I found it no better than just using the mouse, its just how control your mouse skills are compared to general drawing with a pencil (or a tablet pen).

Tablets are generally for people who can use em well, otherwise I wouldnt fuss about getting one when you can just scan in a pencil sketch.

i want to get a tablet.

The thing with scannign the pics is that u can get smudgey or black marks all over it and it is a pain to get rid of.
