The Runar
My internet is really strange at the moment. First, it disconnected entirely, now it works, but about 50% of sites fail to load at all. I'm using: - Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit - Firefox 3.0.11 (though every application which connects to internet has the same problem...) Here's a short list about which websites work and which do not: WORKING: - Tip.It forum - English Wikipedia - Google NOT WORKING: - Finnish Wikipedia - Tip.It main site - RuneScape I have no censors or such active, and the websites which work are not slower than normal, and they don't have any other problems either. The ones which do not work give the standard Firefox error ("Page not found" blahblahblah). I thought that maybe the servers are offline, but I've tested many sites, and I don't believe there's a blackout like that... :wall: Could somebody help me? EDIT: I just realized that I've visited all the working sites recently and have been on them for a long time, but that doesn't explain why other sites don't work - the ones I wasn't so long on are not working. REALLY weird. :? The Runar's (OSRS) DIY blog - most viewed Blogscape blog ever! Contract? /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\

Tesset
I've had this problem a couple times, and, though I can't tell you exactly what's wrong and how to fix it as the more advanced computer people on this forum could, I can tell you what I did. First, I restarted my computer, and that disabled all of the websites, because it cleared my cache. Then, I unplugged every connection and plugged it back in. Then I waited about ten minutes and it worked again. The problem shouldn't be your computer. The most immediate solution if restarting and unplugging doesn't work is to call you ISP, and see what is going on. If nothing there works, then your problem is different than mine was, and I don't know how to help. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off
Sbrideau
How old is your modem? You can try unplugging it for 1 minute or so, and plugging it back. It will reinitialize it. Check to see if the sites work. If not, then maybe the problem is either in your computer, or from the ISP, but depends.
The Runar
It works now, though I didn't do anything. I wonder what was the problem? :? The Runar's (OSRS) DIY blog - most viewed Blogscape blog ever! Contract? /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\

Sam
Upgrade to Firefox 3.5. What is that going to solve? Having the most up to date software won't necessarily alleviate the problem, but it'd be beneficial anyway. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
