Training range. What to use?

Featured Replies

Hello, I am wanting to train my range from 64 to 70. I am going to train on whatever slayer monsters I am assigned but my question is what my set-up should be.

I have thought about mage short, rune c'bow, dorgeshun c'bow.

Iron, Mith, Bone bolts.

I'm going to be using Red Dragon hide chest/legs/vambs.

What head item should I use?

What amulet should I use?

What boots?

What ring? (if necessary)

What shield? (if one at all)

What cape?

If you have any suggestions as to what I should use/wear I would greatly appreciate it.

My budget is around 2,200,000 GP

Thanks for your time.

I have thought about mage short, rune c'bow, dorgeshun c'bow. rune c bow, or knives are my personal choice... stick to msb or knives for training purposes...

Iron, Mith, Bone bolts.Broad Bolts, edit just noticed you dont have 55 slayer, so mith bolts for cross bow, btu if your using an msb, iron/steel should be fine, be sure to use range potions when training...

Then get it to 55. Broad bolts are really cheap and effective, and you should really take advantage of them.

Barrows:

Verac- Helm, Brassard x 2,

Torag- Body, Hammers

Karil- Crossbow

Guthan- Body

Ahrim- Hood, Staff

I suggest wearing the best d'hide you can (red for you). A blessed coif of any kind works well, if not, then go for an archer helm. As for boots and gloves, do snakeskin or frog-leather for boots and any RFD gloves if you have attempted the quest. If you can afford an Archer ring, then do it, if not, go for RoW... AVA's ACUMULATOR in a cape slot :!:

Weapon; do a rune c'bow with broad bolts if you can, if not, do bone c'bow/bolts.

Zammy Book for shield slot.

As for training, I did Slayer for my 99

Hope this helps.

This guide is as concise as a gourmet's handbook with the guidelines of "Pick up fork, stab food, insert into your mouth, then chew".

You could do Aviansies. I started them when I reached 70 ranged, and got it to 73 in no time at all, plus I enjoyed it.

Aviansies

Suggested - Skills

70 Ranged

60 Prayer

Requirements - Skills

60 Ranged

40 Prayer, but that's BARE minimum

Requirements - Quests

Death Plateau

Suggested - Quests

Troll Stronghold

Eadgers Ruse

Temple of Ikov

Weapon: Rune Crossbow/Broads Bolts (I highly suggest getting 55 Slayer to be able to equip Broad Bolts.)

Helmet: Saradomin mitre.

Necklace: Armadyl Pendant

Cape: Ava's Accumulator

Shield: Unholy Book(non-filled, you're using Zamorak Robes. It gives a Prayer bonus, I believe)

Body: Monk's Robe top.

Legs: Zamorak Robe bottom.

Gloves: Black Dragon hide Vambraces.

Boots: Snakeskin Boots.

Ring: Ring of Life.

Inventory:

3 Ranged Potions.

Holy Wrench.

2 Pineapple Pizzas. (Just in case!)

1 Noted Adamant Bar.

50 Nature Runes.

2 Law Runes

Rest of inventory full of Prayer Potions.

I just copied this off of my computer. It's a very cheap way to do Aviansies. I think it's around 300K for the first trip, after that around 60K a trip. Remember to bring a rope for your first trip. I strongly suggest doing all the quests, they are very helpful. For this it'd be better to get 55 Slayer first, so get 55 then go to Aviansies if you want.
