Calculate the cost of one barrage, and calculate the cost of one barrage. Don't be lazy. The lower number is better. Anyways, the drop percentages should remain the same no matter how you kill the monster, so the cost is the only factor. Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it. I don't have the thread, but Compfreak calculated that barraging is more efficient than bursting at rock lobsters. Maybe somebody has the link, I've lost it.

No,but see it takes less barrages to kill a group of rock lobs, that's the issue here. So you get more charms per 1k barrage then you do with 1k bursts.
July 10, 200917 yr http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=779330 Rune prices have increased a lot since then due to PvP inflation, especially bloods (was 275, now 341) so those calculations are invalid. Wouldn't be hard to redo with the new prices though. quit

It's 1.85M per 1k barrages and 1.17M per 1k Bursts. My source states 266.3 crimsons per 1k bursts, and 338.6 crimsons per 1k barrages. Divide those numbers and you get 5473/crimson for barraging and 5170/crimson for bursting Prices changed a bit, but barraging is far better than Bursting, considering how much faster it is. It is a little more expensive, though. Plus you get more magic exp with barraging. Its now; 1k barrages = 1.998m = 5901/crimson 1k bursts =1.226m = 4604/crimson So I would go with bursting atm until rune prices settle.
