Range XP.

Featured Replies

Well, im a f2p pure at the moment, so naturally that means 1 def, etc.

What would be good to train on at 70 range, going for 80, keep in mind my low def, so its best if i can safespot the monsters.

Also, is it better to use bronze, and not pick them up, or higher level arrows, but picking them up.

O.O

I don't know much about F2P, so i'll try and help the best i can.

Try either ranging lesser demons or moss giants. Loads of safe spots so no need to worry to much.

If not there then try the SoS, maybe find a safe spot or 2 down there. I'm not to familiar with the SoS so i don't really know whats down there.

I'd just use iron or steel. Depending on how much you have and how much you can make. If you kill the first 2 you can get drops that can pay for the arrows. You could possibly try the caged lesser demon but its crowded by tons of low levels. So i'd stick with those on crandor, that's if you done dragon slayer.

Try and get to the Moss Giants on Crandor and there are a few good spots there to train

Orthodoxy is unconciousness

the only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.

Catablepons, flesh crawlers, hill giants, ankous. There are safespots for all of them

Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool

Check out my f2p combat guide (AoW). It should tell you all you need to know. Link in sig.

But to sum it up for your special case:

FLESH CRAWLERS. They're almost custom tailored to you. They have a low max hit and low attack. They have low defense as well and they come in huge swarms. It matches perfectly for a pure's low defense-high offense set up. Plus, if you don't wanna get hit, there's a safespot in the Flesh crawler room (2, in fact). They were made for pures.

It's best to use bronzes and not pick them up. You can get upwards of 30k xp per hour that way.

I'd focus on Ankous and Greater/Lesser Demons. Ankous have a safespot but you'll have to get used to luring them away if they attack (normally though, they won't walk straight up and attack you; they get stuck with the corpse in the way. You may have to lure if they begin attacking you in safespot). Lesser Demons are self-explanatory. For Greater Demons, you'd probably bring a few wines in case they get a hit or two in, and since it's so close to a bank, there's no point in using anything too powerful. Iron or Steel arrows should do.

But all of those are less xp than flesh crawlers. Ankous max out at around 25k, greaters at around 30k, and lessers at 25k (and the greaters one doesn't take into consideration revenants). Flesh crawlers get up and way over 30k.

At 25 hp per flesh crawler, it becomes a bother sometimes to wait for them to respawn, especially since there aren't too many in any given location. :S

I killed greaters in the volcano for many hours and never once saw a revenant. I think they have trouble getting in there.

Catablepons are excellent as well. You can range them pretty much non-stop, only breaking to pick up drops.

What are you talking about? There are tons of Flesh Crawlers.

And when you're 80 ranged or over, go to the Flesh Crawler + Zombie room for better xp.
