Sinkhan
I've made a brand new account (Thinking on a pure...) and am looking to finish the diary Lumbridge diary. Between the lamps from the SoS and the other thingy near it with the roaches, and the lamps from the diary itself, should I be boosting smithing? It seems like the most difficult skill to train of them all in F2P. I'm going to have to check out the quest rewards and reqs to make sure I don't have to gain any def so I can finish them all and also just start D slay, but if anyone already knows, that would be cool : Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

ladycai
Correction. Use first lamp on RuneCrafting (500xp should get you enough to make waters, essential for the "Easy" tasks). For smithing, just do the Knights Sword. That should get you to 29 or 30. EDIT: That white knight in underground lumbridge gives 2 500xp lamps. 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
CowsEatFood
D slayer is the only quest in f2p that gives defence xp, so you're safe there.
ladycai
Luckily you don't have to complete it to retrieve an antidragon shield. 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]

Sinkhan
Thanks for your answers everyone! I guess that first lamp will go to RC. I completely forgot about Knight's Sword  Those 2 lamps from went to prayer, as I'm becoming a lvl 13 pray pure. I guess that extra 208 xp is coming from bones. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

You have to do the restless ghost to get the ring, and that quest gives you pray. I piety the fool.

nerdboyxxx
Knight's sword, don't waste your exp lamps on smithing. Use it on runecrafting, or prayer. Those are the hardest to raise in f2p :P
