claerion
When training with a whip is there any advantage to using controlled? Or is it better to just focus on att/ def then str with ss? Death123141
It depends can you afford an SS?
tintdawg
It depends can you afford an SS? If not use a dragon scimitar, but whip is really only good for att or def, but it does those extremely well.

I figured I'd give people another place to post something constructive other than the 20mil ranged exp thread  :wall: Nice one :P If you can afford an ss, it's probably faster to max attack and strength before you train defence. If you can't afford one, use a whip. If you don't want to buy and ss because you like to keep your stats even or whatever, controlled with whip is the way to go. claerion
Does training controlled hurt xp/hr? Or is it the same as doing it att/str/def, in whatever order. Death123141
Does training controlled hurt xp/hr? Or is it the same as doing it att/str/def, in whatever order. It does slightly but then again to train str you would have to use SS or D scim + Rune defender wich would be less exp.
Laura
Training them separately results in faster experience, within margin. For instance getting 99 attack while having 90 strength would be useful because you would hit more often while getting 99 strength. The same applies for getting 99 defense except with the positivities of attack and strength. For the average player however, it would not be wise to get 99 attack with 50 strength and defense. UserOnRS
Controlled gives an invisible +1 in attack, strength and defence. Not sure if it'd make much difference though. You'd also gain a higher strength level than attack and defence because of waterfiend tasks and special attacks.
claerion
Alright that makes sense, so if I'm at armored zombies with my stats I guess i'll go att to 90 maybe then str then def? Or should I put def second because they would hit me less so I wouldn't have to eat as much raising my xp/hr? Best would probably be to get str 90, att 90, str 95, att 95, max str, max att, get 99 defence. Or something like that. Just make sure you train both attack and strength before you train defence.
