With only 79 (maybe 80) range, could i kill a mithril dragon successfully? I just need one for the diary.

I would sometimes have trouble with 90 but I suppose it is possible if you are only killing 1.

Also when attacking stay within melee range and pro melee. This will limit his range attacks to a few.

Magic rarely is used, and barely hits in Karils/Dragonhides.

In my experience, which is over 500 mithril dragons (no DFH btw oh yea!) I have found my trips to last longer when I stay within melee distance. I have even been able to kill a max of 11 on 1 trip. (Without a DFS I might add).

I did it easy at 77 ranged :D

I did it easily with lower stats than I have now (which are much lower than yours).

 

 

 

I just maged it with Slayer Dart and prayed melee, with an anti-dragon shield and potion.

 

But that's only 'cause my melee statsare pretty dire. :/

79 range is no problem, use ruby e for first half, diamond for second half. And don't forget to range pot up.

You can do it if it's only 1 mith drag. Just wear the appropriate gear, use prayer protection and bring lots of food.
