What 99 with this money cap?

Featured Replies

I'm on a budget on 50m-70m (probs 70m tops i have 55m at the moment).

What 99's can i get with this, and how (Methods, ect..)

Please don't suggest thieving, fm, cooking, and fletching. Obviously i cant get skills such as fishing, mining, and wcing as they are unbuyable.. Im thinking more about RC, Smithing, Crafting, Herblore, Construction, and Farming..the rarer types of capes and how i can get them =]

I would say smithing, crafting, or con but the problem is over June-July all the prices went up so I dont know the costs. I heard crafting with Dhides is like 50 mil and smithing around 50 but most bars went up =\

Crafting is 20-30m, tanning your own hides and using sc needles but i'd really rather get something other then crafting

Honestly, just do the cape you most prefer. I'd say con is out of your price range atm (it will require at least 100M+ to train effectively), and Herblore costs a solid 120M to 99. So I'd suggest Runecrafting, crafting, or smithing as a 99, in that order of preference. You'll make a solid 300M getting 99 Runecrafting, which you can use to train con, crafting, smithing, etc.

100M+ if you don't use the SC hammers, more like 50M if you do (which you should to train it effectively).

I'd say smithing, it's fairly rare and respected despite being around the same costs as crafting and just as buyable  . But really should should ask this question to yourself and not others, ultimetly getting a 99 should be a personal goal.

Don't get it for the cape, you'll just look like a tool. Out of the skills you mentioned pick the one you enjoy training the most (or find the least boring) and go for that one.

I enjoy runecrafting, smithing, and i like almost all the capes i listed there.. craft i cbf to get though.

How should i go about 99 smithing and how much would it cost?

really, alot of money won't make RCing THAT much easier. you can hire runners, which can be very fickle, or you can start ZMI a little sooner, but RCing really is a money making skill.

Smithing is good, buyable, and can be done. Crafting is the same, i would prefer to go to smithing because you can offer assistance for smithing Dfire shields and spirit shields to the vast majority of runescape.

And it would be nice to know what levels you are starting with before we can really tell you how much it will cost for each skill.

I think I'll do Baby Blacks :P

Id say smithing as it has always been one of my goals to 99, although Mining stole my heart :)

I have a pair of smithing brawlers in my bank if that helps =S

I'd personally go for Ranging... I know you said a skill, but 99 Range with chins is easy as cake and you'd get loads of hitpoints xp too.

As for skill, i'd pick crafting as its nice and easy.

  • Author

I don't want crafting at all, i said it before ;)

I fail at chinning though since they nerfed ape atoll..

I'd still like to know how much 99 smithing will cost and the method

Construction, but you have to use SC hammers to get it in your price range, otherwise, maybe farming? Though i dont know how much that's gonna cost, doing magics/palms or yews/papayas.

Staurolite.png

If you did 4 herb runs, 2 tree runs, 2 bush runs, and 1 fruit tree run per day, and planted maples/palms as your trees as well as snaps, marigolds, and poison ivies, AND planted calquats, you would get 99 farming in ~80-90, maybe 100 days, depending on your currently level. You'd spend 100m or less, and then you'd have to consider you can make a lot more money than that within those 80-100 days. (4 herb runs means you'd be on for 5-6 hours, you can easily make 1 mil within that time.)

Farming = epic skill. Of course it'll get boring, but it's "cheap" (relative to its speed and time:cost ratio), fast (relative to the actual time you need to spend), and it can actually be pretty fun (or at least showing off your high farming level will be).

I'd get Construction. It'll cost 30-50M, and it isn't that bad to get. If you're willing, you can also invest in some high level furniture afterward and totally revamp your house.
