Fastest way to finish....

A task of Abarrent Spectres. I got them again with only 2 more tasks needed to get my slayer helm. I'm not gonna skip them, but i wanna know what is the fastest way to finish this task? I did them earlier today and it took a bit longer than i would like. Thanks!

Why do you need a slayer helm to cannon?

 

 

 

If you're using melee, a salve amulet (e) will help you a lot (20%+ strength and attack on undead monsters).

I've heard the salve ammy helps, but i'm waiting to get that on my break from slayer. I wanna get the helm tonight and i don't think i can do a quest and 2 tasks considering it probably will need other things to be done before i can do it.

cannon in well... proselyte, mage pray, nosepeg, salve (e)

 

 

 

the smoke will keep you at 1hp but will never kill you... mage pray and nosepeg won't let the specters hurt you either

Well to kill them without having to worry about HP is a good thing.

 

 

 

You can still cannon, but it will be very, very risky.

You can just use the Masked Earmuffs and get down there. I think it works like the Smokey Dungeon in that the smoke won't kill you, just leave you at 1 HP. So you can still cannon the Spectres, just wear the Masked Earmuffs and setup the cannon. Once you start to cannon put on the Nose Peg and just pray magic protection. But if you lag and end up logging out and prayer runs out. Prepare for the worse when you log back in.

 

 

 

Now again, i am not to sure if you are able to do this again. You might want to get someone who has done it or known someone to have done it before you attempt it. It will be safer if you just kill them in the tower, but again it might be slower.

Slayer helm is indeed not needed for cannong them. Like cpt said be sure to bring masked earmuffs or a super restore as the mighty banshees will drain your stats on the way there.

 

 

 

Edit: Its also worth mentioning that the specs there are not agressive, so if you disconnect you don't have to worry about being killed before you can flip mage pray back on, the only way you can possibly die is by running out of prayer.

Thanks for the suggestions, but my luck will have it's way and i'll lag out and die in the well. Guess i'll just take the slow way. And for my finaly task, watch me get spectres again -.-

you can melee 1 task of ab specs in 30-60min @slayer tower ... while you are checking out this answers and looking up the other places, you would already be halfway done with them.

Cannon the task in the well with nosepeg and earmuffs.

 

 

 

If you are worried about lagging, just equip a ring of life and a phoenix necklace.

 

 

 

Sure you can probably still die... but running out of mage pray won't be an instant 1-2 ko. They still hit relatively low and the jewelry will save you.

 

 

 

AND EVEN IF YOU STILL DIE, the death timer is now server specific. That means you can log out and log in and your grave will still be there counting down to it's destruction.
