Crafting Death Runes

Featured Replies

I'll be crafting this via the abyss for 70-77 rc, and I have a few questions.

What should I wear? I've never used the abyss before.

What familar and inventory?

Are super energies still needed?

What's the xp/hr?

Don't craft deaths. If you want exp, go to the zmi. If you want cash, go with double cosmics (300-350k/hr).

But if you wanted to craft deaths, I'd recommend

dragon/rune armour, not barrows or anything TOO expensive

Amulet of glory for teleporting

Hatchet/pickaxe

And for your inventory just your ess & pouches. You shouldn't need any super energies, especially if you rest while banking, I'm not sure about familiars.

Barrows is cheaper than dragon. However, you shouldn't need armor at all. It will help you run longer if you do not take armor. If you want to use some, verac's is extremely light for the defenses it gives.

Personally when i runecraft via the abyss i wear lightweight stuff, usually a Spotted cape and Boots of lightness.

I only have 74 defence and I think abyssable Creatures In the abyss have low attack; so it aint that bad... Just keep your run up.

Some people use pickaxes to mine rocks to get through to the rune shafts, but i just either distract the eyes or do teh agility one.

Super energies aren't needed with that setup. :)

I want a mix of xp and money. My friend did 70-77 with deaths and 77-80 with bloods. He made 20m and did it semi fast.

Carry the lightest armour regardless of defence bonuses. I find that the pickaxe is far more beneficial than the dragon axe/adze or the omni staff (seeing as I always spawn close to a rock or agility shortcut).

Don't forget to wear a death tiara/omni tiara and buy as many glories as you can afford. I usually buy 28 as it allows me to recharge in one run to the heroes guild. If you can find someone to recharge your glories for free/a small charge it will speed things up a lot.

In your inventory you want to use all pouches that you can use. Always take a familiar with you. The lurker works best since you don't have the level for a titan and a parasite does not last as long. If you are low on summoning points there is a summoning obelisk close by where you can recharge on your way to the abyss. You may need super energies, I am not quite sure since I only use the abyss to recharge my pouches.

I am not really sure on the xp/hour either, by my reckoning it is much slower than ZMI or graahking. I would personally go ZMI as profit isn't as important since you can more than make up for lost money at 82+ runecrafting.

I think that is pretty much it, good luck runecrafting.

Personally, I only use the Large, Medium, and Small pouches as I can refill on ess with only 2 bank clicks as opposed to 3 with all the pouches.

Eh? I'm not a pro rcer so I don't really know what to use and all but, if you use a lurker, you still need to bank 3 times no matter what. Besides, you'll make a lot more money anyway.

And Krazi, you don't need a tiara for the abyss.

1) The monsters are a joke. Just wear spottier cape, boots of lightness, mithril pickaxe/hatchet (lightest of metals), glory, and dueling ring and you're good. There's some super awesome setup that maxes defense at like 0-1kg but you seriously shouldn't need it.

2) Lurker and 3 pouches for now till 75, then use all 4. A more experienced rcer can feel free to correct.

3) Nope, at most my energy goes down to 80% but with crafting and banking times, I don't even need to rest.

4) It's like 25k exp and 370k/hour. That's from like 2 tests so don't quote me on that.

You can use SC platebody if you really fear you're going to get hit. As far as I am aware of, it weights only 2kg. But.. That's all...
