Best setup for waterfiends

Just got my first slayer assignement of wfiends, i hear they are a pain in the [wagon], but also rewarding.

 

 

 

my stats below, what would be the best setup for me to kill waterfiends @ ancient cavern.

 

 

 

 

 

Slayer + non slayer

Slayer Helmet/Black Mask

 

Karils Top

 

Karils Legs

 

Barrows Gloves

 

Dragon Boots

 

Fury/Glory Amulet

 

Skill Cape/Fire Cape

 

Saradomin Sword/Zamorakian Spear

 

1-2 Bunyip Pouches

 

10 Bunyip Scrolls

 

1 Super Set

 

8 Prayer Potions

 

Alching Runes

 

3-4 pineapple pizzas

 

 

 

Non Slayer - swap Slayer Helmet with Helmet of Neitiznot

I'd take void if your not on a task and atleast 15 scrolls per pouch (with a lobster or shark drop you can just turn of protect range and use the food instead).

Range void, presumably...where do you stand to do that? (apologies for hijacking question)...

He means melee void, which is best used with a GS, I tried with a SS, but wasnt that successful. With a GS the added accuracy and strength makes more difference. But that's for non slayer, always use the mask for slayer.

Also carry a specing weapon (drag mace is good because of crush, but if you have the means, SGS is the ultimate specing weapon at waterfiends - set on crush obviously)

It's been proven many a time SS or ZS wrecks a GS at waterfiends. The speed of the ZS or SS far outweighs the extra accuracy and strength of a Godsword, but a godsword is an alright alternative if you don't want to buy a Zspear or SS but already have a godsword, other alternatives are ancient staff, ahrim's staff, verac's flail, guthan's spear, torag hammers.
