terley Posted October 4, 2005 Share Posted October 4, 2005 I was sick of seeing rubbish buddies so like this. yeah its amazin aint it... so I made my own :D :D :D !! thats me! heh I still hate buddies but just thought it'd be nice to show people at runehq that they can be a bit more creative than just throwing some body parts together, they seem to love makin simple buddy characters. can rate or just discuss buddies, im not bothered guys... ~TER!!! Just as pixels are an art, so are buddies. Now, I'm not saying that actually assembling a buddy is an art :lol: thats easy, but making the actual pieces is, in some regards, like making a pixel. Pixels take very long to make and are made for a very specific reason, like a sig or a banner. Buddies are made to be a lot more broad, while they were originally intended to make simple pixels, they have evolved into much more. Just as you will see buddies in sigs and avatars, [on a more buddy-friendly forum, like runehq] you will also see buddy fights, large adventures, and much more. (all with many frames, in either an animation or just placed side-by-side) These things are just way too unweildly to do with pixels. Posts like this sicken me: already those things are annoying enough, ppl who cant pixle should not have the ability to copy and paste a good pixle work like that. let them buy one or learn :D Some people judge before they know anything about what they are talking about. Sure, pixels are better in some people's opinion, but buddies are better in other's opinions. Personally I think pixels (if you buy one, not a ton) are better in sigs, and avatar of a buddy, which can be easily made into your runescape character and replaced whenever you change your look, but custom buddies are hands-down funner to make. Also don't think I don't know what I'm talking about, even though I'm a newb on tip.it I am decently well known in the media section of runehq. Hopefully now some of you will think about and test buddies out before you make a fool of yourself flaming them just out of your ignorance. terley Posted October 6, 2005 Author Share Posted October 6, 2005 the idea of a buddy kit was great, but it's got a bit weiry and boring now, the graphics haven't improved at all and people seem to love em all the same. Im not dissin buddy's Im just pointing out that they should improve the graphics a bit more and maybe design a new model because they all just seem to be mimics of the original with just different clothing. You wouldn't catch me spending hours of my day messing around creating little characters that don't serve any purpose out of someones poor graphical images.. It may be fun to some people but I simply just find it boring, nothing creative about it.. But I gotta say those alternatives are pretty good, people making their own buddies and thinking outside the box, which is what im tryin to get at.. just be a lil more creative. :wink: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
