Here's a video I made of the BEST and FASTEST way to gather it.

Then this is the guide for YOU.

 

 

 

 

 

This guide will enable the average person to gather about 35 fungi every 3 and a half minutes, which comes to 600 fungi an hour. If sold for the current market price, that comes out to 460k AN HOUR.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With my prayer level of 56 and a spirit terrorbird, I gather about 680 an hour. (Which is around 520k if i decide to sell for 764 each)

 

 

 

 

 

Lets hunt some Fungi!!!

 

 

 

===========THE GUIDE============

 

 

 

Quests Required:

 

 

 

Nature Spirit

 

At least have started Fairy Tale Part 2 for access to fairy rings

 

 

 

Levels Required:

 

 

 

Level 40 Magic (for teleport to house)

 

Level 45 Construction (for alter, if you use construction boosters to make an alter that could work too)

 

 

 

Suggested Levels:

 

 

 

Decently high prayer (50+)

 

High summoning would help for use of a beast of burden (52+)

 

High enough combat so that you don't have to worry about ghasts.

 

 

 

Other:

 

 

 

Unlimited Glory tele in your house

 

Alter in your house

 

 

 

Items required:

 

 

 

Silver Sickle

 

Dramen or Lunar staff

 

Teleport to house tablets or runes

 

Armour if your scared of ghasts

 

Falador Shield is helpful to recharge prayer while at the swamp.

 

 

 

Method:

 

 

 

Start point:

 

Edgeville bank

 

 

 

 

 

Step 1:

 

 

 

Run north east and then south to find the fairy ring just west of the grand exchange. (this only requires TWO clicks!)

 

 

 

Step 2:

 

 

 

Teleport to Zaniris, enter code “BKR” which Teleports you to the swamp.

 

 

 

Step 3:

 

 

 

Run South just across the little pond (about 10 paces away) and find an enclosure of 3 logs. Stand in the middle of the three logs.

 

 

 

Step 4:

 

 

 

Cast your bloom spell with your silver sickle so that your spell hits the 3 logs around you. Collect your Fungi.

 

 

 

Step 5:

 

 

 

Use the home teleport that you brought (either tablets or runes) to teleport to your house.

 

 

 

Step 6:

 

 

 

Recharge your prayer at the alter in your house.

 

 

 

Step 7:

 

 

 

Use your unlimited glory amulet in your house to teleport to edgeville.

 

 

 

Step 8:

 

 

 

Bank in edgville, and continue again to the fairy ring west of the grand exchange.

 

 

 

This is THE fastest route I've seen. This route is also useful because there is an obelisk on the way to the fairy ring.

 

 

 

Make sure your bloom spell hits ALL THREE logs.

Rings of Slaying would be a faster method of getting to the fairy rings.

This is neither the best nor the fastest way to collect MM Fungi.

 

 

 

 

 

A faster way would be the following.

 

 

 

Reqs: Magic level for Canfis Teleport, an Altar inside house and a canfis portal inside house.

 

 

 

Bring house tabs, blessed sickle and bird. Use the sickle, collect fungi ect. Once full invent/no more prayer, use house tab, use altar, use canfis portal, bank at canfis bank, repeat.

 

 

 

far faster than your method, but if you don't have the reqs for this one, yours is helpful.

 

 

 

60+ prayer is helpful, so can use the sickle more times, though not completely necessary

Many people use the Canifis method, but that requires completion of desert treasure which many players are incapable of doing because of their combat levels or other reasons. This method is friendly for those who aren't higher combat. (which you agreed to)

 

 

 

Also, I find that method to be a lot longer then the method here. The run from the Edgeville bank to the fairy ring is just TWO clicks, while the run from Canifis pub to the bank to the 3 logs southwest of the gate is about 8 or 9 clicks. I also think that method requires you to either walk or stop and rest at some points, while this method you can run the entire time.

 

 

 

Furthermore, there is an obelisk on the way to the fairy ring so if you don't have a Managerie with an obelisk at your house, you can just recharge your summoning points there on the way to the fairy ring.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To respond to the comment about slayer rings:

 

 

 

It is true you can use a slayer ring... but then how would you bank? Unless your saying do the home tele and then bank in edgeville and THEN use the slayer ring, but that's just too much work in my opinion. It would probably save you about 10 seconds, and I don't know if that's worth the slayer points you use to get the slayer ring.

Once you unlock slayer rings they only cost you 1 gold bar and 1 gem to make (you even get the gem back once all the charges are used).

 

 

 

Even if it saves you 10 seconds per trip that could work out at an extra trip per hour. Remember bit of time saved helps.

Another alternative would be ardougne cloak to recharge prayer, edgeville to bank and ring of slaying to get to slayer tower, then run south. All of these teleports are basicly free.

Sorry, I'm new to these forums, but I just timed both methods. I have a Canafis portal in my house and I have access to slayer rings + fairy rings.

 

My Method was:

 

1) House Tab (Recharge Prayer)

 

2) House Glory to Bank at Edgeville

 

3) Slayer Ring to Relleka Caves

 

4) Ring to Zanaris, then to BKR

 

5) Run South, Collect, Fill Bird

 

6) Repeat 1-5

----------------------------------------------------

 

Your Method:

 

1) House Tab (Recharge Prayer)

 

2) Canafis Portal (Bank)

 

3) Run Through Gate or Through Shortcut

 

4) Collect Fungi, Fill Bird

 

5) Repeat

 

 

Going through both methods various times, the first one IS faster by about 10-15 seconds. You run far too much with the Canafis portal method, eating up valuable time. Furthermore, even using the shortcut, you take longer to bank as Edgeville bank is closer to the teleport than Canafis. His method is faster.

 

Also, don't bother going for 68 summoning. You can't fill a tortoise without 80+ prayer, 70 only gets me a full terrorbird.
