Hey, I'm looking for updated ways to level magic with minimal lose or even some profit. I currently have 72 magic. Everyone says alching but you really lose alot of money doing that over time. Any ideas?

Alching is actually one of the cheaper, but slower ways.

 

 

 

The most efficient way to train magic is by Barraging/Bursting Rock Lobsters. It's expensive, but the Hp and summoning xp more than make up for it.

 

 

 

Other popular ways include superglass make, string amulet, plankmake, and bolt enchanting.

Firebolting metal dragon or avansies is also quite popular as the losses are generally minimal over the course of many casts/kills.

Well, there is no requirement for the metal dragons, aside from cash. I can't promise that you'd break even though. You might end up at a huge loss, depending on how many casts you do, and how well you can hit at 72 magic. I've profited 2M in 30k casts, but I'm 96 magic.

Also, don't you need 37 prayer for maging them for protect from magic? I know for sure that you would need 2 of the following: anti-fire shield, anti-fire potion, and/or anti-mage protection prayer. And also since you haven't done any quests you have to keep in mind that you can only use spells in the standard spell book. Imo, Camalot teleport is boring and costly as hell, bu it is another option for you.

So i guess that takes lunar out of the question?

I am going to do quests for ancient and lunar magic though, so please post those options as well, And I looked into the dragons, just need to go get 10 woodcutting now to cut the vines.

Crumble Undead on Ankous may make you a profit but dont hold me to that, I havn't tested it and my magic level sucks...

Lunar is quite helpful, but i dont know how you would go with Dream Mentor, but lvl 77 Supermake glass has my vote, slow exp, but you make money.

Thanks, I was high alching but its nothing but a lose for me at the moment. I might try dragons just have 1 every skill except magic at the moment lol

Bolt enchanting usually beats out high alchemy.

What do you mean by "really slow"? They should sell overnight, if not instantly.

 

 

 

Diamond bolts aren't always the best. You need to check out Ruby bolts as well, which are sometimes better.

 

 

 

You can also use Mousekeys to enchant the bolt, making it a lot easier/faster

Are they crashing along with a majority of other items? If so you might want to wait a couple days before continuing with this method.

Since they said that they haven't done any quests, I don't think they have access to an anti-fire shield.
