Hotkeys §§§

Featured Replies

I remember some time a year or two ago I saw an idea for holding ctrl or alt to 1 click a higher level monster. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but we havent got anything like that in runescape. So I, again, in the mood of thinking of things due to boredom came up with this idea.

Alt + Click = 1 click monster (Turn this on or off for added safety?)

Alt + S = Special Attack

Alt + 1/2/3/4 = Change Combat attacking type (Atk/Str/Def)

Alt + A(or R) = Auto Retaliate toggle

I was also thinking that the first spot in your inventory could be used as a "hotspot" for auto use item, E.G pot or food, maybe a weapon to switch over? So possibly;

Alt + Tab = Hotspot item

Tell me what you think O_o. Suggest your own?

Yes I know I just made a suggestion like a day ago, but 2 different things need 2 different threads in this forum. ;)

I dont need a siggy no moar.

I like it, mainly because runescape lacks any form of hotkeys. Maybe we could make it changeable, in the options menu? So you can change the numbers to make it a bit easier?

Also, maybe you could have hotkeys for different items, for example press alt+P to drink a dose of potion in your inventory, or alt+w to change a weapon in your inventory. Of course, to avoid any confusion, the player would first select a potion or weapon to be assigned the hotkey, and the player is free to change that potion or weapon afterwards.

My mind is kind of jogging, done 4 hours of schoolwork. Hope you like my added ideas.

Support btw

The only problem with say, pressing Alt + P for a potion or Alt + F for food is that it could make huge problems. Possible glitches and it would take much longer.

It would be easier to do

Alt + Z/X/C/V for the first row.

But if it would come out with no problems and the like it would be a good addition and make Runescape have a decent combat simulator! :o

I like it ;p

What about one clicking other players in pvp?

Its an insane advantage higher levels have over lower levels, and lower levels should be able to one click higher levels.

O.O

I like it!

There would need to be a visual indicator, though (yellow background?) for the selected items.

Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it.

Suggestions appreciated

This guide is as concise as a gourmet's handbook with the guidelines of "Pick up fork, stab food, insert into your mouth, then chew".

No support on alt + click.

One of the advantages of being a higher level, is the ability to 1 click some higher leveled monsters, not having everyone easily do what we're able to, we worked for an advantage, and you just want to take it away?

Because one person who is the same combat level as a monster has priority over someone who doesnt? Combat levels matter in PvP more than they do in PvM unless multi-ing, it isnt a reason why people train, noone trains for that reason Sword.

But support on others?

Thanks all for supports.

Then we would run out of buttons to press for an item. One or two rows would be nice.

And I was kinda thinking one click items, like eat, drink, equip.

Not use -> use :?

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Sounds good

Could add:

-Quick prayers

-Rest

-Unload BoB

-Familiar details

-Run (not just for 1 click, but turning it off or on)

-Open equip details/price checker

-Feed pet

Eh, that's all I got.

Could add:

-Quick prayers Maybe Alt + Q?

-Rest Maybe Alt + R?

-Unload BoB Maybe Alt + U?

-Familiar details Not really needed.. is it?

-Run (not just for 1 click, but turning it off or on) Just hold control if you only wanna run a tiny bit.

-Open equip details/price checker Dunno, I dont think you'll need to open this mid-fight very often. Not like you can :P

-Feed pet Is it necessary? lol

Without a proper summoning tab, and with the summoning button occupying "attack" or "special attack" for most people, a familiar hotkey would be very useful.

It's kinda annoying to feed a pet while you're doing other things. So why not? Sometimes the Pet is way too far away, too, so it could automatically call it as well.

Like the base idea, but hotkeys on items would be a lot of hassle.

Attack style changing would be iffy on auto cast items.

My personal hotkey requirements would be;

Quick Prayer

Single Click higher level monster

Familiar details (possibly the predefined option)

Special Attack

Anything else would either not be used/remembered or over complicate things.

Support on the mentioned ones.

Thanks for support.

Really, the one item (Alt + Tab) Hotspot key wouldnt be a hassle, it's only one spot. As I did say, making it more advanced (Alt + P for Potion) will cause mixups, glitches and be complicated for quite a while.

I'm not sure if it works in game, but in general Alt-Tab will activate the windows Alt-Tab function not an in game function (every game I've played does the same). Picking Alt+ another key would be better.
