Two Slayer Questions

Featured Replies

I have two questions to do with Slayer Points.

1. In what order should I spend my slayer points on (or save up for)? (I will be getting a slayer helmet either today or tomorrow so that's out.)

2. What are your opinions on what tasks should I be cancelling or blocking? (I'm currently use Chaeldar but when I get to 100 combat, I will try to switch to Sumona. So tasks from either one is fine)

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks :D

I think it's generally considered best to spend points in this order:

1. Slayer helmet

2. Craft slayer rings ability

3. Block 4 tasks

4. Fletch broad bolts ability

then spend the rest of your points on runes for slayer dart. Some people might block the tasks before getting the slayer rings ability, some might do both at the same time. Definitely get the helmet first. Also, don't get the ability to craft the rings if you don't have the level to craft them yet.

I would block the tasks as you go along. Sure it might take a little longer to get the helm, but it will mean faster points in the long run.

So my order would be.

1. Helm

2. Rings

3. Fletching

With blocking going on all the time.

Tasks I have blocked are;

  • Iron Dragons

    Steel Dragons

Hellhounds (get boring after a few thousand and there drops suck)

Greater Demons (pain in the backside)

[hide=Drops]

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

Well I'm combat 106 (101 without summoning) and I'm still using Chaeldar. I sometimes go to Shilo for a task when I'm in the neigbourhood, but Chaeldar works generally well for me.

Current assignment is Bronze Dragons, before that I had Dust Devils and Bloodvelds, so it's not too bad. :D

Sumonia is a bit out of the way, but good if you don't mind getting there (or are able to teleport).

Also, don't get the ability to craft the rings if you don't have the level to craft them yet.

I disagree, it's pretty easy to find someone with 75+ crafting hanging around edgeville, and an inv of slayer rings can last you FOR MONTHS! (Depending on how you use them of course, if you use summona they will go by faster, and don't use summona without the rings). Oh, and always have at least ~100 or so points spare, even if you have your most hated tasks blocked they might assign a task that you just don't feel like doing (I'm looking at you, Bloodvelds...).

I'd Go with Slayer Helm, Block some task you dont like, Learn to craft slayer jewlery if you got the crafting level, Broad arrows boltz

slayer helm will always help that always being first Block stuff u dont wanna do doing task u hate to get pts can be annoying Jewlery will help you teleport faster arrows boltz you can always buy so thats really no biggie

2. for Chaeldar The only one thats really blockable should be Bronze dragons there not even worth suiting up for so those are off

for the next slayer master

Black demons there kinda hard to kill and very slow cannons help but eh If you like ranging then dont block but otherwise thats a block

I personally would block scarbites going to the desert and killing the 4 or 5 near the swamp land near the desert is always a pain

You should mage black demons, as they, like all demons, are weak towards magic. Besides, they're easy because there's safe spots. When killing them in Edgeville dungeon wilderness, just bring a glory to tele out if necessary and you'll be fine... and get lots of experience.

when it comes to blocking it's all personal preference, yes some tasks are slow or low xp, but whatever you hate killing the most should go

This. Personally, I just got my helm and have yet to block anything, but it sure won't be Irons or Steels. Yes, they're slow xp and drain cash, but if you don't kill them, there's no chance a visage will drop. ;)

ytrroso butt in, but whats the Crafting level to craft Slayer Ring?

75, but it is assistable.

2s0cxth.png

Mask

Rings

Block-4 (but have 90 points extra to cancel tasks)

Slayer Dart runes

I do not think the ability to make bolts is worth it.
