aspeeder
So of my main combat stats my magic seems quite pathetic, and I think it's in need of a bit of training. Unfortunately it seems to me that it's in a "limbo" level, or a place between all of the most used levelling spells (Besides alching, I'll get to that). So I've thought up of several methods and I was hoping some people with a bit more experience than me could help quide me as to the best one. I am thinking of set my goal at level 80, so that's 5 levels. 1. Barraging/Bursting Rock Lobbies. Well, as Zaaps1 as said quite a lot recently, Barraging (Or in my case bursting, maybe not as worth it?) rock lobsters is the best method for training magic because you are gathering summoning, hp, and mage exp all in once go. I have a few problems with this method: a) I have about 2k crimson, 1.5k gold, 250 blue, and 500 green charms in my bank and want to use most of them before I get more, B) I have problems with the Waterbirth dungeon  , and c) while I have a bit of spare cash I have been saving up recently for some ranger boots and really don't want to spend TOO much leveling. 2. Alching. Well, I know about this method, and have done it a little. But a little change of pace would be appreciated, casting this spell to train is mostly the reason I hate training mage. And yes, I have that website with all the prices of items and costs of alching, not to worry :P . 3. Lunar time. This is the one I am considering most: Humidifying till 77, and then Superglass Make until 80. I know that neither of these are particularily fast exp, but the graphics are a change of pace and most importantly THEY PROFIT :o ! Plus a bit of crafting exp at the end is always appreciated. Any other methods would be appreciated and comments are welcome, thank you all : . http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
mister_moocky
Enchanting diamond bolts curretly makes 244 gp per spell. This is unusually high, but you will profit most if the time. It gives 67xp per cast, making it faster then alching. Once you can cast it (level 87 I think?) plankmaking mahogany has a loss of 2.03333... g/xp but with 125k+ xp/h it's quite fast without much loss. Firestriking things overnight is a nice bit of xp and the xp/h of actual playing time is over 150k/h if you can make 500k gp/h. quit

Diamond Bolt Enchanting!! :wall: #-o On that though, last time i tried that I couldn't buy many bolts at once due to low funding, and enchanted them all pretty fast. How many should I buy at once, so that if they do drop I won't lose too much gp? Also, I'd prefer not to get banned on my main I've worked years on, but thanks for posting anyways  . http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots

I've heard it can be 160k per hour, but no personal confirmation on that. Wouldn't firestriking overnight be considered afk training and therefore be reportable? I would like I maintain that rock lobs are the best method in the long run. It's very cheap given the benefits of it. Of course, money is an issue. But if it's an issue now, it'll be an issue later when you get up summoning. Better wipe the entire floor in one go, and you'll most likely save time/money. Still, if you are stuck for cash you can follow what was mentioned above. I'd like to add that casting Onyx enchanting in MTA is 80k+ per hour. I find it enjoyable, but that's just my opinion. You lose 1 cosmic rune per cast, but each invent you deposit gives you 1 death, blood, or cosmic as bonus. You can also buy cosmics with your points from the Reward shop, but that process is too tedious since there's no Buy-X, it's only a Buy-1. ~It's Super Effective! aspeeder
Well, considering that I cannot cast either onyx enchant or plank make until 87/86 respectivly those two are out (For now). Basically what I want most is the "best" training method until plank make (Or at least 80), and it seems my best options are Diamond Bolt Enchanting and Bursting, correct? http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots

It's not too hard if you watch the video guide and get you mousekeys working and your bank full, which I guess can be qualified as "difficult". I will say, however, that after 4k superglass makes I was ready to blow my brains out. And I am a pretty persistent person. I wouldn't count on being able to do anything long term with that spell. As for humidify its not AS bad as superglass but if you are doing it mainly because you profit I think you would be better off making your money doing something else where the profit is better and paying for the mage exp. Apparently, my signature was to big.

mrpadre
I wouldn't humidify, waste of time imo. Just lose the money on alching if you have to, and then Glassmake to whatever level you want to stop. Btw, Glassmake is more efficient (During most times) than Green D'Hide bodies if you make less than about 1.5mil an hour. [hide=If ya need it, cause I love linking to it]http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=806548[/hide] Glassmake can be hard to maintain, and it can be boring, but it's nice seeing the profits and exp come in
aspeeder
Well, my lack of zeal for my Warped Terrorbirds task should propel me to do my mage training.
