umm, correct me if i'm wrong, but by transparency ehre you don't mean that the background is transparent, right?

it's like that guide to transparency here on the boards, make the lines kinda "blurred" anti-aliasing or whatever that was called?

so that the pic doesn't look "jagged", but round. cause there's no transparency in the sense that you can look through the background of the pic.

just trying to clear up any mis-understandings in my own, and others' minds.

Hmm, its definetly original. I like the font. You could blend in the shine effects on the outer eye thing more, but other than that nice, smooth work.

I mean that the backgroud is transparent. There is no "white box" or any color box behind the eye and text. You can see the board color whether it's blue black or green there. Providing your browser can show it correctly.

This is how it should look like and does look like on my browsers. (on different board themes)

.png works on pc too if you have a new browser...with gif you cannot make different lvls of transparency and to make the antialised lines and text i need full alpha layer.

Idk what you mean..

He's just saying he needs .png to make the eye and text look smooth and clean as it is now. Unfortunately .gif have a very bad quality (no antialiasing so u can almost see them pixel by pixel) and a limited range of colours (up to 256). .png files are big info boxes that include the graphical data plus many other data that are strictly related with the browsers and the web protocols like xml. If something isn't configured the right way on the system to system relationships...then the quality of the .png is lost. For example i'm using latest version of Explorer on a Pc with Xp Pro and those .png stuff doesn't work nicely.

I love the style, i love the ball, but i think you could have put something better in it. The eye seems obscure (could be cause of my suky resolution). I give it an 8/10.

I'm on a PC now...win 2k and IE. I wonder where it comes up with that blue background to the picture as i never made such. I thought it was an old browser that messed .png but it seems it's every version of windows IE that does it. My mac internet explorer works though...lolz.
