It depends whether you'll be P2P or F2P, and which combat ranges you would prefer to fight. If you're maxed then you're likely to fight other maxed players. Doomster Posted August 28, 2009 Share Posted August 28, 2009 For a "perfect" F2P Rune pure, you'll have to take on Elvarg in Addy armour, at 33 defence. For a P2P, there are a few other defence giving quests, and possibly the Zerker (45 def) works better thanrune, due to the strength bonus from the helm. viewtopic.php?t=703844 - Zerker pure guide In essence though, deduct all the quest given defence from your target defence experience level, and then train no higher.
