I'm trying to get my level up for a requirement for a diary with a spicy stew, I put in 3 dose of the right spice but it never seems to boost my skill more then 4 lvls no matter how many times I do it whats up with that?

I never trust those since the most I've gained in a skill is 3 (with 3 "doses" of spice)

Anything above +3 from the stew is EXTREMELY, and I mean EXTREMELY, rare. I would not count on it. It's a much better idea to just get the extra 3 levels.

It's Runecrafting and I acually get +4 alot when I use it, oh well I guess I will just go back to training and try again in 2 lvls.

I would recommend getting at least 63 RC before you try it (I assume you're after the task of crafting 196 airs at once). Your level can easily drop while you're withdrawing the essence and running to the altar.

Have a BOB carry a bunch of stews and super restores so you have them at the altar.

You can only have one stew at a time. But having a BOB carry the stew is not a bad idea.

Then I must be getting bad luck, because in 100 stews I've never gotten a +5.

There is also a way to bring the stew with you to the altar, so that you can craft the runes as soon as you boost. If this fails tho, and you don't boost as much as you need, you must bank.

Bring the stew.

 

 

 

Drop 2 ess, empty pouch, drop pouch.

 

 

 

Drink the stew, drop bowl.

 

 

 

Pick up 3 ess.

 

 

 

Craft ess.

You'd have to keep on banking every time you fail to reach the required runecrafting level though, which could take many, many tries. When I was doing the falador diary, I just stood in the bank and waited until I got a +4 boost (67 runecrafting), so that I had enough time for sure to reach the altar. I'd say it's much easier to get a bit higher boost than to bank every half min almost. Unless you just need a small boost (+1 or +2) to reach 66, your method would depend a lot on getting lucky at the right time.

Or just drink up at the bank and use an air tab?

Did you read what I said? I said if you failed you have to bank...

 

 

 

Also, you are a whole lot more likely to get it by my method than getting +4 and running all the way down...
