who do u think r the future allstars in the NBA ? Heres my guess :

point guards -

SEBASTAIN TELFAIR-Blazers (he didnt do that wel last season but this season will be a breakout year for him),

DWAYNE WADE-Heat (Hes allredi an allstar but hes fairly young and the future of the NBA)

that rookie that the 76ers drafted i think his name is ROBERT LOUIS hes pretty good i saw him play in jordan classic game

shooting guards -

GERALD GREEN-Celtics (im betting on him for rookie of the year)

LEBRON JAMES-Cavaliers (do i need to say anything ?)

JEFFREY JORDAN-not in NBA hes MJ's son hes was at nike camp this summer, junior, hes not that bad.

BEN GORDON-Bulls hes playing very well and i think hes playing shooting guard this season for Hirich/Gordon combo (last season he was point guard) it should go well.

J.R. SMITH-Hornets hes a complete player just need complete team

Fowards (i put power fowards and small fowards together) -

EMEKA OKAFOR-Bobcats hes a great low post player and a hardworker

DWIGHT HOWARD-Magic #1 draft pick great rebounder b/c of his size

MARVIN WILLIAMS-Atlanta good passer and not afraid of taking it to the hoop

ANDRE IGUODALA-76ers flexible player an play guard or foward above average speed and handles for fowards.

Centers -

ANDREW BOGUT-Bucks i dont noe much about him but he was #1 draft pick doesnt look like a big play maker

CHANNING FRYE-Knicks looking for him to get a great start this season on knicks may even be a starter

I will agree with you about Lebron James being a future NBA all-star. He has a positive attitude on the court, maybe a few faults, but if he continues to play positive with pride, then he could make it all the way.

As far as who I pick, I don't have anybody else in mind. Just dropped in to give some in-dept player C/C.

gors2.gif

Yeah, Lebron is defnately a future all star, has proved himself to be great so far, and i think he will get even better....

There's new rules?? :?

LeBron, in my opinion, is an all star. I don't really think he'll improve to like 30+ ppg, but still will average in the high 20s.

I'm not saying he'll but an all star but I really think Darko is going to improve this season with Larry gone. I mean when he did start he got 16 points. Flip i'm thinking will give Milicic more minutes if he can prove himself, but this guy can get points down low pretty well and can shoot the mid range jumpshot.

Kyle Korver will probably be one of the major 3 point threats next year. You can't leave this guy open at the perimeter, but he can't play defense, there for no becoming an all star, but he'll probably be in more 3 point contests.

Luke Ridnour might become one of the best point guards in the league one day because of his passing. I'm thinking he won't gain much more ppg but his assists will go up fairly well this year.

Josh Smith seems to be able to grab rebounds, not really well, but i think good for his rookie season. I think he'll improve on that and I heard he was working on his jumpshot and offensive game so i think this season he'll average maybe around 12-15 ppg. And this guy can block.

We can dream.

I think some of it will come down to his own attitude though, which right now is said to not be great.

hmm is jeffrey jordan the one wit braids n he got glasses, cuz my friend played him in AAU nationals, he's lefty n sh*t, my friend said hes pretty good n he can dunk like crazy(obvious genetics lol) but yah hes gonna be good.

my future nba stars:

Dwayne wade

Kirk heinrich

ben gordon

Josh smith-unrated as a rookie but i really believe he has a lot of potential

kyle korver-my god, he has a gun for a shot, shoots it so fast n well, reminds me so much of Peja Stojakivfnadns however u spell his name

lebron james-been a superstar since high school..

andre Iguodala-not a superstar but a star,can average 20+ on a fastbreak team

Amare Stoudemire-already a superstar but still only 21 yrs old

Chris Bosh-get him on a good team and i see him doing very well

Carmelo anthony-hes had some problems but i really think him n lebron james are gonna be like kobe-tmac, wilt chamberlain-bill russel

emeka okafor-reminds me so much of david robinson, his body type and his style of game

Dwight Howard-did well on the magic in his rookie season i believe he should be like a kevin garnett type player

i kno i missed some but i cant think of nemore..

The Warriors will rule the next season.

You've summed up the entire basketball season in 7 words..

Amen. Been dormant for a decade but we're back. About 30 years now since they won the championship too?

Michael Pietrus from Golden State has a chance to be an excellent player if he can get the time. Right now hes behind SG Richardson (better scorer) and SF Dunleavy (better overal player? :?). Hes almost as athletic as Richardson but is a much better defender. Just needs to improve his shot and decision making (plays reckless at times).

Hakim Warrick, if he can get some PT in Memphis, should be an interesting player to watch. He'll be a decent shot blocker if nothing else

Ben Gordan and Luol Deng in Chicago, star college players that should have the athleticismn to do well in the pros. Gordon won the 6th man last year didnt he?

Andrea Igoudala in Philly has a chance to be a Vince Carter type player if Iverson can get him the ball. No reason why they shouldnt be running the court and Iverson lobbing the ball up to Igoudala for dunks like Kidd used to do with Martin.

Channing Frye, stiff. I remember him during his first few years at Arizona and he didnt impress at all. I dont see what Isiah sees in this guy. I think he lacks the athleticismn of guys like Warick and no way in the world hes got the fundamentals to comensate like Duncan does. I'll be surpsied if hes any better than a guy like Erik Dampier.

Hmm, interesting topic. Seeming as I'm in the UK and my parents recently cancelled the channel which shown all the NBA and stuff, I don't know about many players, anymore.

Offtopic: BUT, I think I have a future in basketball. I'm one of the best, if not, THE best in a ten-fifteen mile radius (over 30 schools). As I'm almost 6ft 2 at the age of 14, it's an advantage. :D I'll be dunking by next year! Woo! Hopefully, I'll be picked for Wales, soon(My nation), as there may be a scout at the match tomorrow.

And that's my little big-headed moment. :D

New sig to come!

in general i'm not much of a basketball fan. It moves disgustingly quickly, to the point where each score doesn't matter. If you think about it compared to other sports such as soccer or hockey, each point in those sports are celebrated, while in basketball there are scores which both exceed 100 points most of the time. Also, the scores are close together, like 109-115 for example. This means that the two teams were relatively evenly matched and one team just put together a good drive in the third or fourth quarter.

on the other hand, basketball highlights are some of the most entertaining sport thing to watch. there is so much physical and coordination ability needed to play basketball at a pro level that its very spectacular. I like watching the highlights of basketball while sticking to more entertaining sports in my opinion, namely baseball and football.

my little spiel, I don't care much about the NBA allstars, although from what i've seen, lebron james is some player.

since im a hawks fan, im officially banning myself from this post, as there is no future and no present :(

Alright well it's bball time again, I'm so happy :D

First of all Dwayne Wade is the future of the NBA, it doesn't get much better than him. Then theres LeBron, who is a star too, but I think that whether it be 10 or 15 years from now when we look back on their careers, Wade will have accomplished more.

Second, Channing Frye is going to be good, but I highly doubt he will be great. Sure hes tall, and he can block shots. He also has a decent mid range jumper. But I can still remember [bleep]y V talking about how he's soft. In order for him to become a dominant center, he's gonna need to get stronger, and work on his inside game.

The first pick of the 2nd round was Salim Stoudamire, who I'm sure is going to surprise many. In college he was known as being moody and wasn't known for his defense. However he was the best shooter in the NCAA last year, and I don't think there are many that are better in the NBA. Kyle Korver, and a few others are the exceptions. I believe that he will be the better of the players to come out of Arizona last year. (IE. Frye).

Now there's Marvin Williams from Carolina. Of course many think he's great, but however I did not see him play that much in Carolina, as he was the sixth man. He has a lot to prove and I think he will because he's on a team where he will start, and be able to shine.

Andrew Bogut, sorry guys but this guy is soft. He will start, but will produce very low numbers. In order for him to have any success he will need to get stronger. No way he can compete with Shaq, and the other centers in the East.

Now for my predictions for the season:

Eastern Conference:

1. Miami Heat - no surprise here, with the additions of Walker and Payton, and the fact that Dwayne Wade is arguably the best player in the NBA, the Heat will win the East.

2. Indiana Pacers - They made a run at the end of the year last year, and they return much of the same, althought there's one major difference this year. His name is Ron Artest.

3. New Jersey Nets - Kidd, Jefferson, and Carter could possibly be the best backcourt in the NBA. If everyone stays healthy and if Marc Jackson and Nenad Krstic can at least get average numbers, then they win the Atlantic easily, and get the third seed.

4. Detroit Pistons - Pretty much the same as last year, if everyone stays healthy they will get the fourth seed, would have been the third, but the top three have to go to the division winners. Although the loss of Larry Brown could be huge.

5. Cleveland Cavs- Slowly but surely the Central division is becoming one of the best in the NBA. The Cavs, Pacers, and Pistons will make this quite the division, and my guess is that it will come down to the final week. Larry Hughes is going to make all the difference in the world, taking the pressure of LeBron a little.

6. Chicago Bulls - Another team in the Central Division who could make a run. Will a little bit of experience under their belts now, this young team should have a very productive season.

7. New York Knicks - This is when it gets hard to make predictions because none of the teams left pose much of a threat. The Knicks have Frye, Jerome James, and with Larry Brown, well they should be better than last year.

8. Philadelphia 76ers - They have some young talent in Iguodala and Korver, and of course who could forget AI. No real competition for this spot.

Western Conference:

1. San Antonio Spurs - the name says it all.

2. Sacramento Kings - With recently added Shareef they should have an easy time winning the Pacific. Normally the Suns would be the favorite, but with Stoudamire just having surgery, he won't be back till after the All Star break.

3. Denver Nuggets - With George Karl they should win this division fairly easily. They went on the quite the run to end the year, winning 20 of their last 22 in the regular season.

4. Houston Rockets - Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady showed what they could do together last year, and one would venture to guess that they will do it again this year, as long as everyone stays healthy.

5. Dallas Mavericks - The Mavs have arguably the best roster in the NBA, but they lack one thing, and that one thing is DEFENSE. If they learn to play defense this year, which is doubtful, look for them to make a run at their division.

6. Phoenix Suns - They have one of the best point guards in the game in Steve Nash, and who can forget about Shawn Marion. The problem for thme will be the lack of Stoudamire until after the All Star Break. Without him they are just your average West team. Look for them to make a run after the All Start break however.

7. Seattle Sonics - The loss of Jerome James will hurt them, and I have a feeling last year was a fluke. They have some great young talent in Ridnour, but other than that I see them struggling this year.

8. Golden State Warriors - Made quite the run last year, but will have to prove themselves this year. This is a good team that could make a jump to at least the 5th seed, but time will tell.

Finals Predictions:

Pacers in 7.

You put the Bulls as #6? Yes, that was your opinion and I do respect it, but sir- the bulls are in the best shape they've been in since JORDAN LEFT. Well... I don't know about how that letting Curry and Davis desicion will go.. Why is my hometown team so stupid? :( But give them some props, last season they came from an 0-9 start to a 45-53 (I'm guessing but I know it was around there) and made it to the second round in the playoffs.

And p.s. Who cares about the new rookies? Theres nothing special about any of them.

8. Golden State Warriors - Made quite the run last year, but will have to prove themselves this year. This is a good team that could make a jump to at least the 5th seed, but time will tell.

Well the Bulls are good, but the competition in the East has stepped up quite a bit. Also Golden State has to prove themselves first before I give them higher than an 8, and I don't just mean a good last 10 games or so to end last season.

The last Warrior game I went to was fan appreciation night (i think it was) vs San Antonio in that lockout season. Warriors played them though for 3 quarters but as we know basketball is a 4 quarter game.

I think Detroit wont' be that affected from the loss of Larry Brown, Darko has proven himself to be a good player this pre season. He's averaging some sweet [wagon] numbers, 4 bpg, 9 ppg and 6 rpg. He's hitting more open jump shots, like this one i just saw a few minutes ago was sweet clutch shot. Also with the addition of Maurice Evans, he seems to be a dependable player off the bench and Carlos Delfino seems more agressive and is a good shooter.

I know Miami looks like they're going to win the East by a lot, but they got to many egos on the team. I don't think they're chemistry will work to well with each other.
