New 10% extra damage?

Featured Replies

So with the new update, it's 10% extra damage if you use a staff (I believe)

So have the max hits of spells been raised or can you not hit the previous max without a staff?

As stated, the max has been rased. Also, only some staves have the effect:

As staves are no longer required for autocasting, we have granted some of the more special ones the ability to cause 10% more magic damage. The following staves receive this bonus:

Ahrims staff

Master wand

Void Knight mace

Zuriels staff

Corrupt Zuriels staff

Ancient staff

quit

Its worth noting Iban Blast, Magic Dart, Saradomin Strike and Flames of Zamorak haven't been affected as the staffs aren't on the list.

Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

...but they can be autocasted now.

And with 'Charge,' God spells can hit up to 30 anyway.

Yes they can be auto casted, but CoG is still better then SS or FoZ as its max is 33 and the bonuses of the mace far out way the small advantage of -1 prayer point or -5 magic levels.

Iban staff has to be recharged very 50/100 casts (pointless for bosses and a lot of hassle for PvP) and Magic dart hasn't changed at all.

so the staffs only add 10% damage to certain spells or do they add 10% damage to all of them?

They add 10% damage to all spells that can be casted with these staffs...
