Gilded Atlar is the fastest way, however you'll need to find a player where no one else is using their altar. The new update only allows 2 people to use as once.

 

 

 

As for the cost 2.1k bones using an Altar lit all the time, so about 6.5-7m

Slightly slower than guild alter but lower cost(bones, renting alters), less bank runs, no time constraint (herb burning, house owner g2g) and semi-afk.

 

Speed depends on your summoning level. If you have a terrorbird, you can do 13 a time. (buckets in BoB and grind bone first)

It's either cheap or fast. I got my prayer up to nearly 70 just by burying whatever the hell I could. Never bought even one single bone.

That said, if you truly don't want to spend any money you might as well mass-slaughter hill giants in Taverly dungeon for bones.

 

 

 

The fastest way would be Ourg Bones, which are very expensive indeed. Not a clue on the buying time though.

Personally I use a g altar to train prayer with dragon bones. For bones I'll usually go crazy slaughter 500-1k green dragons then sell the hides and use the bones at a g altar for prayer and great money. :thumbsup:

But at the end, it all comes to how much money you can make per hour.

Dragon bones are good, if you can't use a gilded Altar and don't want to buy them though they aren't your best bet.

 

 

 

Honestly? Find a friend/someone with a gilded altar and ask if you can use it. Then, use any bones DRAGON or higher (anything lower is a waste of time) and yeah. So, either you collect big bones and bury them, or you buy dragon bones and use them on the gilded altar.

 

 

 

Any other options are a waste of time tbh

Here are the calculations, forumula originate by viewtopic.php?f=143&t=788110&start=0 (dragon bones have raised by 1k per bone since the thread was made, see GE for details):

 

altar (40 trips) (bones)3.2*1000+(marrentil, last for 3 min per burn)0.360*40 = 3214.4k

 

ecto (31 trips) (bones)3.2*280*1.44+(terrorbird)0.385*2= 1291.01k

 

 

 

Ecto with terror bird fletch you 403*288= 116k exp

 

To get 252k from ecto, you need 2.1 hours

 

Cost of 252k from ecto = 1291.01*2.1= 2713.211k

 

So, altar cost 3214.4-2713.21= 501.19k more than ecto for 252k exp.

 

But, we know that ecto need an extra 1.1 hour to archieve the 252k exp from 1 hour of altar...

 

 

 

SO, if and only if you make over 455.62k per hour, wasting time to find a guy with altar is a waste of time.
