vettro
I am looking for suggestions to complete room one. I have baited the Spirit Beast into the cave. I have been running around the room, cutting roots and getting my butt kicked. I lit one pyre but ran out of food and had to tele. Now when I returned his attacks were even more frequent. It made cutting any roots or laying and logs impossible. Any time I stop to lay a log I get hit 30+. Am I doing anything wrong? I have sharks and super energy pots in my invo. Any suggestions? I'm kinda frusterated. Help?
angel13
Unfortunately you should have set up three the fire pits before lighting one. I didn't know this at the time and did exactly what you did :wall: . the only advice i can give you is to set up the next two pits and then light one after the other. intervention
I ran around in circles chopping some branches and running then planted the logs down and kept running, then once you done this long enough light them, I only used about 5 food. Kidd_Varrow
The best advice I can give is don't stand in any one place for even a second. Take one chop at a root, and then run to dodge the attack.
JoeDaStudd
Use the best axe you have and make sure its one of your kept on death items.I tried using mith and died about 5 times, once I switched to rune I completed it all in 1 trip.Just juggle 2 sets of roots until you have enough for the last 2 then light them both as fast as possible. Sy_Accursed
basically. As soon as he fires an attack, assuming ur fair enuff ahead to avoid the spray out hit chop on the nearest roots. As soon as the attack has done its finaly splash regardless of what you got RUN. Repeat until you have filled all fire pits (2 in you're case) Best to run out a fill a fire pit just as he fires. Then light em Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
salamander
If you've finished As a first resort, use the infinite energy pool rather than super energies. Will give you more room for food, and you won't have to worry about drinking potions.
Legionwizard
Same as salamander, using the salt water springs, I had to eat 2-3 sharks the entire quest. Basically this is what I did: Go Ooglog and use salt water springs, tele with games necklace to wildy volcano or clan wars Room 1: Keep running in outermost circles, cut roots, WHENEVER you see the screen shake that means the beast has launched an attack and you run further immediately (stick to either clockwise or anticlockwise), then let him do another attack (while ur still running), dodge it and cut roots, then repeat. Get the three pyres lit. Go Ooglog and use salt water springs, tele with games necklace to wildy volcano or clan wars Room 2: Bit trickier, you might spend some time here. The attacks of the beast get heavier after each time you trap the core. However even with the last core I was running in circles around the beast with maybe 8 squares between him and me (I got pretty close it was fun). Most important thing to remember: while the core is out the beast does not attack you, so don't be afraid to get closer to the core to lure it, that's how to get this room done. Go Ooglog and use salt water springs, tele with games necklace to wildy volcano or clan wars Room 3: Surprisingly, this one was easiest despite the much smaller size of the room, I spent least time here, simply focus on one color, focus which grave it's in and keep an eye when the beast is about to attack with that color, you can with some skill keep near the grave of that color. Achieved quest (07/08/2009), woodcutting (28/06/2010), attack (21/07/2010), strength + constitution (07/08/2010), defence (26/09/2010), summoning (13/01/2011), herblore (03/03/2011), cook (31/08/2012), firemaking (01/09/2012), magic (08/09/2012), prayer (16/09/2012) and ranged (29/10/2012) capes. xlorp
If you've finished As a first resort, use the infinite energy pool rather than super energies. Will give you more room for food, and you won't have to worry about drinking potions. This bears repeating. That pool should eliminate the needs for Boots of Lightness, Spottier Cape, Restore Energy Potions or any other device to keep your run energy up. Ectophial to Phasmatys, charter ship to Oo'glog, then a nice soaking before using Games Necklace to Clan Wars. You can load up on good food, but remember that you will need to have room to hold the cursed willow logs for filling the firepits. Unlike woodcutting, lingering for just one more log at a location will get you killed. Plan on having to run away from many roots with no new logs to show for it. With the pool's effects, you ought to be able to collect enough one-hit logs to do the job. Do NOT light any more fires until you've filled all your target pits first. Go to full screen mode on the biggest monitor you can find and temporarily disable anything that might hog your CPU and lag you in game long enough to get slobbered to death by the beast. I am myself still stuck with just one fire lit, so good luck.
vettro
Thanks for all the help and advice! I got by the first room after several big fails. I filled all the pyres then got hammered and died before I could lit them. Next try I filled all the pyres and only used 1 piece of food then realized I forgot my tinderbox! :wall: 4th try was the charm.
