I've really always wanted to try this, but at this time, my skilling orbits around money. Like really. However, I MAY consider doing this AFTER I achieve some of my huge goals. Like I want to be able to solo Bandos and Saradomin, and possible even Armadyl, and for that I want 95+ in all combat stats, except for Prayer which I will be keeping at 80 for awhile. Another thing that I think I should strive for before going DIY is 80+ in all skills and even 90+ in most skills so that the transition from non-DIY to DIY will just work out so much for me.

 

Anyway, enough about me. I'll make a new blog soon (I had one, but I went inactive for awhile and stopped playing, I am now but I cannot find it) and then from there I'll see what I can do about becoming DIY. The only person I know who is 100% DIY from the beginning is Itam 69 who said he's "quitting" and he has achieved so much. From 5 or 6 Saradomin Sword solos, to the Saradomin Hilt solo, the multiple clue rewards, Barrows rewards, Slayer rewards ect. It looks like so much fun and I really cant wait to try it for myself. :)

So I did like 50 chests yesterday, got this

pretty happy lol, now I just need legs.

 

Then I went fishing for more barrows supplies, got this

And cooking teh fishies...

I do know of one other DIY who doesn't do any CS or LS but I don't see why not.

 

So how hard is Barrowing without prayer potions?

Like, have you got Dharok as your tunnel yet? Because him, or Karil in the tunnel with no prayer potions would suck.

You aren't supposed to go LS or CS as DIY, but I see nothing wrong with FFA, unless other people are generous and give you supplies to help you last longer :P

I usually take like a ppot just in case of dh tunnel, got bored of barrows though.

Taking a short break from it, doing some skilling and some solo tormented demons. I'm about 2k solo td kills without claws, and did another 50 kills today dry =[ I plan to do tds till claws, then barrows might be easier.

Got a couple levels too.

3 more till antifires =] that'll be nice lol

Need 70 for power ammy, 80 for glory =[ so i can do clues as well, and yeah i know i prolly wont get fury for a while

lol finally someone to share my pain ;p although its probobly 100x harder for you just starting out with nothing. i had more herbs than i knew to do with before i was lvl 30 herblore ;p

 

btw get crafting ,fury is a must :)

I don't think of it as "helping". To me, its a method to get what you need efficiently without wasting a lot of supplies.

This is a decent blog, though I do have a few suggestions to make it both more viewer friendly and more appealing for those checking it out.

 

After replying with current updates on ur progress, make the neccessary changes on your initial post, that way, your followers can see all that's been occuring without browsing through the many pages.

 

Secondly, crop your pictures a tad more to save on loading time and space usage. We all know what an rs screen looks like, so simply cut a small section out indicating the area of interest. If you need some guidance on what I mean, check out my blog, the 90 slayer section at the bottom. My drops are are smaller and show myself and the drop, all the info I believe you need.

 

Regardless, good blog, and I always stop in to check out your progress. I'm waiting on you to go to the ge :mrgreen:
