By far i think this is my best and favourite signature i have made. So give me some feedback!

It's definitely better than some of your older stuff, still needs lots of improvement;

 

Contrast - There is none - I recall you use GIMP, so I don't know about adjustments on there, but a black layer on overlay mode will add some contrast

Stuff over the render - It can look good, but it is hard to get right. My suggestion is to remove the layer above which is creating that effect.

Background - Everything is good, in moderation - the amount of brushing you've used just detracts from the final piece - I only tend to use brushes to create part of a background. A better way to make backgrounds is by smudging.

 

You'll get better with practice - you seem determined.

And i want to add:

Canvas, use smaller canvas, like 350x150

1 thing here you need to work on is your flow. Here, it is just a mess, and nothing looks particularly good with the messy flow. Also, make sure you have no effects running over the subject, it just makes it look bad, and makes it harder to distinguish a focal point.

Next time try a color scheme that isn't provided by your render. It will be much more difficult but will look great if you do it right.

You can adapt the color of your render in gimp with Color->Colorize, i dont know the names of the bars but the top bar is about the color, the middle about how much of that color and the bottom about the brightness

I prefer to use gradients and brushing to adjust color.

The best way is to use hue/saturation/lightness sliders.

It needs clearing up, because it's kind of hard to look at, but I like the rustic look of it.

It's getting better, I like the anime (?) one more, although you need to place more emphasis on the character.

Another one here: took me one hour and a bit, i really put some effort into this one.

Didn't realize that was a good thing. You should use whatever you have that you feel confortable with and not restrict yourself.

Looks alot better, but please try making one with a smaller canvas

.... it doesn't take that much to make a sig without brushes.... well atleast that sig....

 

Not to mention the AWFUL scan line/movie line(w/e) filter in gimp....
