Sam Posted October 16, 2009 Share Posted October 16, 2009 It's definitely better than some of your older stuff, still needs lots of improvement; Contrast - There is none - I recall you use GIMP, so I don't know about adjustments on there, but a black layer on overlay mode will add some contrastStuff over the render - It can look good, but it is hard to get right. My suggestion is to remove the layer above which is creating that effect.Background - Everything is good, in moderation - the amount of brushing you've used just detracts from the final piece - I only tend to use brushes to create part of a background. Ouchy Posted October 16, 2009 Share Posted October 16, 2009 1 thing here you need to work on is your flow. Here, it is just a mess, and nothing looks particularly good with the messy flow. Also, make sure you have no effects running over the subject, it just makes it look bad, and makes it harder to distinguish a focal point.
