Bad luck on runescape accounts?

Featured Replies

In general my monster hunting experience has always been awful. I remember I was at GWD for nearly a month (Bandos) and I got no good drops at all. Hence why I go with the guaranteed money that is Runecrafting instead of putting my hopes in a lucky drop. But no I do not believe that one account can be luckier than another.

I've played for over four years and my best drop so far is a snapdragon seed <_<

maybe you should train then. With only 11m TOTAL xp, I am not surprised.

Some accounts are luckier than others and luck is not completely random. People will disagree with this statement because they know that RuneScape is made from maths and have no faith otherwise.

Prime example: Pictures forum. Sure, people only post when they get a good drop, but it's the same few people frequently, and everyone else rarely.

I don't know when luck for an account is determined. Back around the times of Barrows, I had decent-to-lowish luck in most endeavors. Since then, I have noticed a rather dramatic, consecutive difference.

People (or, perhaps only I, or only the less-luckier) get rare drops when they are not focused on getting them (the same went for random events and such when they were in a firmer seat of power, and Fishing trophies and all things similar). Now, obviously it is impossible for RuneScape to know how focused you are, or what you are thinking, but it's a reliable trend. An impossibly reliable trend. However, being that thinking about making yourself not think about something makes you think about that thing that you didn't want to think about, this is hardly a strategy for getting rare drops.

I don't expect the previously mentioned things to change but I'll just keep trying... Maybe one day I'll be paying enough attention not to die at Kree'arra, but little enough about the main goal of getting a hilt to get an Armadyl Hilt split.

Feel free to disagree one and all, but I'll just put my fingers in my ears and go lalalalalala.

I did Comp Sci for a bit, and in programs, there is no such thing as random. Following patterns, you can trigger an event, or determine when one will occur - or close to. That being said, it's basically random anyway - yeah I know what I mean. Mebe dis is whi i faildd comp sci

They don't need to create luck-accounts. Chaos-karma-whatever does the trick for free.

haha you made me laugh ! I am a bad person

In F2P, the best drop I've ever gotten is a rune med. <_<

In GOP games, I always get put on the team with the crap players.

The saddest thing is that I've been playing for 2 years and still no zombie gloves from the gravedigger.
