October 30, 200916 yr Greetings all, I am currently at lvl 69 smithing, and is smithing steel bars. Aiming for 80 smithing. Was wondering whether cannonballs are worth the time for their exp (and cash). I still earn a decent amount of cash from the steel bars as I mine the iron and buy the coal. Any suggestions or advice are welcome. 'Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.' T.S. Eliot

October 30, 200916 yr it takes 6.6 seconds to smith a steel bar into cannonballs it takes 5.4 seconds to fire a dark bow, which has a action speed rating of 1 according to jagex if we use jagex's own speed rating scale, smithing of cannonballs would have a speed rating of -1yes, NEGATIVE 1 it just fails that much

October 31, 200916 yr If you do decide to smelt/smith I'd suggest Mith plates with SC hammers. SC hammers saves time and cash overall. I dont know about profit/losses now but I used to do this before SC hammers where out. I used the Blast Furnace and then alched the plates. Best of luck to you.
