Can anyone give me just an estimate of how much it would cost to get 99 mage from 87 doing high alc, string jewelry or plank make.

I can't give you an estimate that's true to the prices to date but I can tell you that 94-97 mage cost me roughly 26m with string jewellery using holy symbols.

Use the magic calculator on tipit to find how many casts you need to get the level you want and then calculate the price of one cast and multiply it by the number of casts required.

If it weren't for telekinetic theatre I'd do it. Or even if they let you move while the statue slides.

Spending money to level magic is an utter waste of money and defeats the purpose of magic as a skill.

On my way to level 90, all I have is get profit. I suggest you do the same; either use it while skilling (mining/smithing) or buy things on the side to alc with profit. That would take longer, not the powertrain/wasteful way.

I really enjoy mixing bursting with maging DK's. 1 good DK trip will give you about 120 to 200k exp as well as enough gp (last trip I got extremely lucky with 2 zerkers and 1 axe in less then 700 CoG casts, shame the hybrids left so soon really) for a few hours of solid bursting.
