Bandos

Taking a break from my Armadyl solos as it's getting boring I decided to solo Bandos, never soloed before and only been with a team once or twice.

 

I just did a quick trial trip and got 2 1/2 kills, I've heard the average is 3-4 but I'm not sure if I'm right.

 

My inventory consists of a hammer, super set, four prayer potions, house tele tab, and the rest sharks. Also a tortoise filled with sharks.

 

Here's the gear I used.

 

I can afford to get better gear if there's something better I should get, that was just stuff I already had laying around my bank and and put it on.

 

 

Is there any better gear I should get or just anything I should know that would help me?

I hear that an AGS or BGS are good to spec with then switch to whip + Rune defender. I never had much experience with it on my own. Just going but what i heard. Seems like you know what you're doing mostly.

Rune Defender instead of DFS.

I tried it with a defender and I think I got 3 kill that trip (I am completely horrible at keeping track of how many kills I get)

 

Is 3 kills average for my stats? (Maxed melee)

And are there any other gear changes I should make?

Depends on your summoning level, really.

Summoning level is 88.

 

Just did another trip and only got 1 kill.. ran out of food before I finished second kill

Are you bringing a tortoise? Or just a unicorn?

Your setup looks good. Might want to take a Rune Defender instead. The slash bonus helps alot. If you're not worried about a bad connection i would also suggest an Onyx(i), Warrior(i) or berserker(i) as a ring. Take a Fire Cape or Trimmed Skillcape instead of Zammy Cape. For your invo you really only need 3 Prayer Potions and a Super Def pot isnt needed. Dragon Claws, D Hally, AGS, or BGS for Spec Weapons. However if you decide to use AGS or BGS i would suggest sticking to it instead of a Whip + Def. I find a GS slightly better anyway.

Tried it with Bandos chest, doesn't seem to make a difference.

 

Don't have a GS atm, might look into borrowing one to see if one is worth buying for Bandos

Yes, a godsword is definitely worth it for the accuracy and greater hits.

Whats your magic level?

if its 90+ don't bother with the black dhide use torags and for the legs veracs skirt is cheaper and slightly better (I'm trying to keep your possible loss at minimal).

DFS is horrible for solo, rune defender all the way.

 

Run under him when your healing as it stops him using his ranged attack.

 

2 to 3 does sound bad tbh as I've always managed atleast 1 kill from 80 flat melee stats with 2 being the average, this is with pretty much the same setup only a GS (BGS or SGS)

If you have a BGS the spec is awesome, one 30+ and the whole kill is almost guaranteed. I managed a 4 kill trip at 85 flat melee stats all thanks for BGS.

 

Find out what your taking the most damage from (mage or range) and tweak your outfit to suit it.

Tried it again with a GS, d hide and no d hide, still only 2 kills.

 

I'm about to go back to Kree, getting only 2 kills a trip is making me mad.
